I feel the same. I think Elliott would be ideal back-up/mentor. But, don't sleep on Stolie. Yes, he missed most of the year. Yes, he will need to see game action. Unless Hart is playing lights out, I could see Hexy picking a healthy Stolie over Hart this year. After this season, I believe it is Hart's net. Sandstrom, if he comes over, will push him. Stolie may become a strong trade chip. Lyon is AHL.
This, of course, is just my opinion. I just think that Carter Hart would have to be having a tremendous year in AHL for Hexy to "rush" his plan and bring him up. I'd love to see it but I'm not as optimistic. - cdearth23
So you think Hart doesn't get a call up this upcoming season, but earns the starting position out of camp the following season? I dunno, I have a hard time seeing that happening with the way things have been playing out the last few years. |

Pat Falloon never lived up to his hype, but the guy did have a handful of 20+ goal seasons. He was a capable top-9 winger, but he'll always be best remember as the guy taken after Eric Lindros; remember, nobody remembers who is taken second. - jmatchett383

I think he gets some callup time, just not a part of the tandem full-time. |

I could see Hexy going with Stolie or Lyon if Hart is not playing light's out.
I can absolutely see Hart earning the job out of camp next summer (2019), regardless of NHL action this season.
I just have a feeling that Hexy would be reluctant to bring Hart up too early this season. If he isn't killing it in AHL, I doubt Hexy will expose him to NHL.
Now, my hope is that Hart is as good as advertised and he shows he belongs from the start of the year. Then this is all moot. From everything that I have read about Carter, he seems like he can be a special goalie. He seems prepared for the next step in his career. I'm excited. And, for the record, I want to see him in NHL sooner rather than later but I have drunk the Hexy Kool-Aid. I trust him and his people. |

What if this insane scenario happens, and both goalies are healthy all season? Do you think he sees the NHL regardless? |

It's less likely, but there's no way both goalies are in the lineup for 82 games. I don't think any team last year had the same 2 goalies all 82 games. It just doesn't happen. |

No, I think the reason he will see time in the NHL is as an injury call up. |

Could be lots of things.....could be a game at the end of the regular season that doesn't have significance to the standings.
Even Cal Heeter got in an NHL game once upon a time. It's not beyond the pale to think that, insane injury scenarios aside, that they could call up Hart to get his feet wet in an NHL game where the standings didn't much matter. |

FWIW, after those first 2 goals, he settled in and played...well, better than Martin Houle. Actually made a few decent saves. |

Yeah I'm hoping to see him next season, obviously. I just don't think I'd be all that surprised if he didn't play an NHL game next season. |

Neuvy has to be motivated, contract year, and maybe his last shot as an nhl goalie?
Stranger things have happened then him having a solid injury free season.
I can’t think of any examples that would be more surprising then him staying healthy though. |

Thought Neuvy was also staying in North America vs. going home and he changed trainers to see if he could improve his health/strength. |

Regarding his draft position, Daigle uttered the now infamous comment, "I'm glad I got drafted first, because no one remembers number two". |
