Like I said, I like Hayes. You basically repeated my assertion. What worries me is that he’s naturrally a big guy. He lost a lot of weight in the couple of offseason. I just said it’s risky to commit long term. It’s a battle. Will he continue putting in the work every year? What if he suffers an injury that keeps him from training?Look how Smith showed up out of shape last year - junaka3
Starting with the premise that there is risk in every deal, I actually think a 5 year deal for Hayes would be a low risk deal. Hayes just turned 26 years old, so a five year deal would lock him up through the prime years of his career. And if it's somewhere around the $5 million mark, I actually think that deal has the potential to be a bargain for what he brings. He's already proven he is around a 45 point player who adds a great deal defensively. And I think he can achieve a modest improvement of those numbers to bring him up to around the 50 point mark. That's good value for a very good defensive center that also contributes solid offensive numbers. |

yeah, that deal is a no brainer
not saying I wouldn't deal Hayes in the right deal either, but if he's sticking around, and it looks like he will, really have no problem with a 5 year 28 mil kind of deal for him. |

You could worry about that for every contract that is ever signed. He also wasnt fat when he made the decision to train harder to improve his game. He just felt his fitness level wasn't up to snuff and made the commitment to get better. I think that speaks more to the player/athlete he is than your notion he is a " naturally big guy", or whatever that means. |

Ironically, her boobs were nowhere near spectacular.
Not that there is anything wrong with that. Or isn't. |

He's got a $3m trade kicker. Meaning, he gets paid $3m more if he's traded. I'm assuming players in states like Texas and Florida get that fairly often |

Don't worry, he'll be back on the East Coast in a Yankee uniform next season so you can watch him more often |
