Lamorello is a smart cookie. I see they just signed Pulloch for two years. One of best pp shots in league. He burried some vs us.
- jhawk59

he ain't so smart. he just signed komarov, filppula and some other scrub to multi year deals. and traded assets for matt martin.

If he did that trade he wouldn't be a smart cookie he'd be a moron.

Bouma wasn't signed. Thankfully. Cause he sucks donkey balls.
- Elbows15

Not sure why some are not sold on Sikura. Even if he goes to Rockford, he us going to be a skill point producer in the NHL. How much so I cannot predict yet.

Maybe he will find this is what holds him back from NHL
- jhawk59
That quote about his edgework was from 3 seasons ago so I have no idea if it's still valid or something that wouldn't hold him back. I didn't watch enough of Gilbert in college so I can't fully speak on it, but Stephen Johns had pretty similar scouting report in terms of his skating and people here seem to love him.

He is just filling some holes for one year because there is slim pickings. Not much he could do, really, after Tavarez left.He was an austere manager of the budget and brought competitive teams and a championship to New Jersey. Widely respected when he went to Toronto to help steer their bright looking coarse.

Wait, hold in... He gave multi year deals. Ineed to read what he did and why. He has long been held in high esteem for managing teams well

Johns had another issue too but appears to be solid enough for bottom pair, maybe some second pair. You like him better than I Cole.

So you see Toews still retains ability, smarts Then the assumption is the physical abuse if an NHL season and his back issue, concussion concern is the overriding worry

WTF are you talking about? I was responding to a trade of Crawford to the Islanders that makes no sense for them. If you're going to respond to every post know what you're talking about at least. (and learn to spell already)

Why would the Islanders trade a 28 year old 30 goal scorer and picks when they are in the same boat as Chicago for a 33 year old goalie that has some kind of unknown issues going on?
- GPHawksfan

:no

Getting Panarin back and trading Crawford are two independently stupid moves made even more stupid by doing both.

Do we not have enough soft, contact averse forwards???

And who is the starting goalie going to be that is as good as Crawford??

So I think for "current" Hawks players/prospects they have Toews, Saad, Debrincat, Schmaltz, Jokiharju, Louis, Kahun, Johnson, Delia.

Seems that Kane was dropped from the rosters at some point.

Phone number is one digit off from the local Domino's. Half price pan is popular for some unknown reason.

MrR - Do you even read what you write? What makes you believe that you can tell other posters what they actually think or what they actually thought? When I post I have absolutely no need whatsoever to post anything other then what I actually think. Maybe you have such a need - I don’t, others don’t.

The Hawks just made a trade involving Hossa. Included in this trade was a prospect named Entwistle. After researching about Entwistle I am very happy with his acquisition. You will likely say that I can’t have this opinion because I somehow didn’t post a lot about Entwistle before the trade. This is how illogical your obsession with my being happy about Boqvist being drafted is. I didn’t talk about Boqvist because I assumed some other team would be smart enough to take him earlier than 8 knowing he had only a short time before been talked about as a possible no. 2 overall. Don’t try to tell me what I thought about Boqvist on Draft night actually being available at 8 and being chosen by the Hawks at 8.

Same thinking for Merkley - I wanted the Hawks to draft him. I posted that the Hawks should do whatever it took to get him which meant moving up from 27. Just as I believed Boqvist would not fall to 8 I believed Merkley would not fall to 27. Thankfully I was completely WRONG about Boqvist but sadly was right about Merkley.

Quite frankly I don’t even understand your comments. I have stated that 1. I am very happy Boqvist was drafted at 8. 2. I am very happy I was surprised and WRONG concerning him actually being available at 8. However, you seem to believe that you have won something because I did NOT promote and champion Boqvist before the Draft. I believed to guarantee drafting him the Hawks would have to move up from 8 which I knew was highly unlikely. You can post whatever pretzel logic you wish but it doesn’t change what I actually thought on Draft night. I no more thought Boqvist would be available to the Hawks on Draft night than I thought Dahlin or Svechnikov would be available to the Hawks. You are the one with the shovel - I am on the other hand just always honest.

As an aside I did in fact have a concern about Boqvist before the Draft. I didn’t like that he viewed himself far from NHL ready. Did this indicate a confidence problem? However, I suppose when you’ve fought dyslexia and been asked questions about Dahlin in every interview you stay really humble. He talks a little differently now but is still humble.

Regarding Matthews go and think whatever illogical thoughts you wish, which as I’ve previously stated are in complete opposition to the views expressed by the hockey people at CBC, Sportsnet and TSN. However, since they disagree with you they, just like me, must simply be wrong.

Left Bowman’s Presser about an hour ago. Nothing he said today indicated anything was close. He pointed to arbitration dates & preseason as periods that may be more active. That said, I was told a while back that Q likes Tobias Enstrom.

there is your defensive "upgrade"

I'd be ok to package DeBrincat in a trade to get Panarin back. Schmaltz..maybe not that ok.

DeBrincat, Murphy and 2nd'19 for Panarin?

- MjulQvist

If they can guaranteed sign him to a reasonable cap hit for good term.
