God is he good

We have a few good center prospects as well. I haven't watched much of them, but Jack Studnicka seems to really stick out as a good 2nd round pick last year.

There's some chatter about him centering the 3rd line. Have any of you watched him?

I honestly havent seen him play. Might need another year in the minors Id think.

Hey guys. First of all, I would gladly take either player or both on my team. Do you really think that Marner should or would take less money than Matthews. Marner was your leader in scoring and was very effective in the playoffs for you guys. Any thoughts?
- sabreadvocate1

No, Matthews is a lot better then Marner.

Most likely. I think he would go back to Oshawa. He seems like a good 2-way center from what I’ve gathered and would love to have him learn from Bergeron for a few years.

Bergeron is an ideal mentor for a young C, that is for sure.

Tavares has been top 5 In goals for C maybe twice since 12/13 or 13/14. A couple of those seasons he's been well out of the 5 if my memory serve so me. So he said not consistent year in year out. He's not elite.

I think it'll depend on how the season plays out. If Matthews "outpoints" JT next year I don't see how Dubas can justify not paying him $11.

I also think if Marner puts up 80pts playing with JT (which is very possible IMO), he'll be closer to $9.

UG has already determined that Nylander+ is being traded for Karlsson, so no need to project how much he'll cost as that'll fall under the Sens cap.

I think they'll all be signed before camp ..and dubious stated(grain of salt?) that none of them(top forwards) will be traded. .that it wouldn't be fair to j.t

Maybe. .you could be right ..their points are compatible..but Nylander contract will be close to ehlers average cap hit of 6.mil a year IMHO. .maybe slightly less if he's signed at 8 years? ..ehlers signed at 7 years with a average 6mil Cao hit I believe

Still have a Pens cap from the late 90's. Love when the Pens win, hate It when they don't. Je suis fan! C'est tout.

Oh my God, you have a hat?!?!?!?

Then I take back everything! You clearly are better than all of us.

You have acheived great things - you once bought a hat.

Do fans with hats get their names on the Stanley Cup?

You know what I have from the mid 90s?

Shin pads.

I was one of Snow's only supporters. I think he was creative, smart, bold and not adverse to risk. I think he was to NHL GM-ing as I am to NHL-writing. By which I mean underrated and brilliant.

I want to say Marc Bergevin is amazing

I hate to agree with Tanner here, but Snow set up Lou very well.

Even without JT, Islanders have a good core. Barzal looks fantastic -picked 16th overall. The two 1st rounders this year will help.

So far, Lou has brought in Martin and Komarov. Wow, he is surely a jeeenyuss.

I'm sorry Wedgie, but drafting Barzal and getting 2 first rounders who ended up looking great because of some weird picks in the top 10 doesn't make up for all the mistakes he did over the years.

A genius? Come on.

Tanner doesn't do sarcasm. It's a level he doesn't go to.

And I'm pretty sure Wedgie was serious about defending Snow.

Could be wrong though.
