If Pettersson can play center and Gaudette makes the third line as the pivot, that pushes Sutter out, he's got value around the league, according to Botchford.
Probably more of a February thing than an October thing though. I'm just excited about a youth movement, it's hard to contain my enthusiasm. - LeftCoaster
I'd really rather see Gaudette play top 6 minutes in Utica and be called up. |

It depends on TG and his deployment. Some players will score with less ice time but others need it.
You want a .45 ppg pace from Granlund, he needs scoring line mates. If not you get the .25.
Leipsic in Vegas .30 in 12 minutes. .64 in 17 with Van.
Something like
Baertschi Horvat Boeser 17 minutes
Virtanen Pettersson Granlund 16 minutes
Leipsic Sutter Eriksson 15 minutes
Schaller Beagle Roussel 12 minutes
Gagner, Goldy, Gaunce.
One player too many that needs waivers. - manvanfan
I don't really see a spot for Gagner? He just doesn't fit anywhere. |

I'm guessing that'll most likely be the case, rather see him on the Canucks but 50 games in the AHL won't hurt him. |

IMO that should not matter . If he is being outplayed then sit him. It should not be an issue that he makes 3 mil. We have plenty of cap space so if he is in fact being outplayed then play the better player. It may push him to improve his game. |

With the make up of players, he really doesn't have a fit. He doesn't produce enough with top 6 minutes. Van has enough PP guys that can use the minutes just as effectively as he would. I would keep him around, bound to be injuries.
It's Goldy vs Leipsic for a spot on the team.
25 in 64 for Leipsic
19 in 61 for Goldy
Gaunce on waivers. Or Biega on Waivers.

He'll probably grab a lot of pine this year. |

After a slow start, to figure the league out, Pettersson is gonna kill it on the PP |

That is fine . I think with this pressure , players can't take 3 week vacations. If they are not playing hard someone will step in. I even think that applies to Eriksson |

I would love to see some kids push him to the pressbox. Canucks recent drafting is just starting to push into the top six. Which is good news. |

At 11 I am heading back to the pool , breaking in my new Speedo.
On a serious not there was a guy in a Speedo yesterday. Who the hell still wears them to a public pool filled with kids and families There is always one in every crowd |

It's tough, but I think I've just gotta be patient this year while the kids soak a little longer. I'm anxious to get them in there, I can't help it |

Imagine if OJ and Hughes show really well at camp. Log jam on defence already without those 2.
I doubt if Van makes a trade that people are going to like the return. They like cheap contracts. Leipsic and 1/2 retained Hutton.
NJ has cap space and under preforming waiver exempt picks. JB's love for reforming prospects |

Be interesting to see if Hughes signs, no camp if he doesn't. I really like Leipsic, kids got game, Goldobin I like too but I'm keeping Leipsic over him personally. |

Goldobin needs to step up. He is running out of chances like Boucher. There are a lot of prospects waiting to pass them on the depth chart |

Goldobin really hasn't had much opportunity with scoring linemates, I think he can produce if they look past his defensive deficiencies. Not everyone has to be a 200 foot player. |

Leipsic is a bit older and has probably less skill but more heart. Leipsic played with Horvat and scored at a much higher pace then Goldy did playing with Bo.
Leipsic might turn into the next Jonathan Marschessault. That would be awesome! |

Leipsic has a better motor, I like that pickup. (frank) penalty kick |

That is fine . Fans will claim that the new UFA signings are stopping Goldobin when in fact it is Sven LE and Gagner. |

They're not stopping him, he's a top six offensive player or nothing, those guys were signed to play bottom six. |
