You are right. Parental influence is something that hasnt crossed my mind and it should. He comes across so mature and confident that it is an easy oversight.

Mrs. Hughes just rolled over and said that he's not interested in getting a degree. Mr. Hughes just knocked on the door and agreed.

Sour Kush and a cup of coffee. Try it. I'm serious.

You don't have to name your children after me for this but I always did fancy the thought of having a beneficial fungi named after me. Something that feeds on toenail fungus or something. Boonerbocillous or something...

It's a total freak out of mine for no reason but I don't want to see the league avg be like 5'10 and 180 lbs.

Last season it was 6'1" 200 lbs.

I don't mind seeing the best of the smurfs making the NHL. Especially if it's at the expense of guys like Martin, Nolan, Lucic, Reaves, Watson types.

The all-star type game is fine once a year. Not for the entire year.

Ya know what i'm saying?

Anybody read Scott Rosenhek stuff from thecanuckway?

More arrogance then everybody in this room combined. Its either "i told you so" "no one believed me" "i wouldnt do it that way" "it should be done this way".
Its pretty sad.

I think it's still quite aways away but can definitely see it.

I think I noticed from the way the GM's are drafting. Tallest player JB drafted last year was Woo at 6'. Drafting is about the future.

I like the honesty, even if I disagree with some of his points. It’s always a struggle with the traditional coaching mentality, but perhaps Green will find a new way to adapt.

He's NHL worthy coach as well it seems.

Once way back (not going to say his name) said that he was giving ideas to articles for Alex Hoegler too. After we would discuss something on here, it would be an article the next day.

This is our 2nd go at the "New Smaller Faster SKILL NHL". They (frank)ed it up last time with the ridiculous hooking calls after the lockout in the early 2000's. It played more into the big players who no one could touch with a stick or hand and they just owned the slot area drawing one penalty after another. The fast players always knew how to break free so it really made no difference on that side of it.

We'll see. It seems like a cycle rather than anything new to me. This time it seems the D is trending along so theres more to it. Last time it was just the forwards.

I seem to remember back in the day when Kevin Allen was on HB and broke free that a lot of stuff on his own site was driven by our discussions. He stole Mark Gage from us and failed miserably on his own site and Mark kind of just disappeared. I tried their site out but it was boring. I went through the pain of their live draft for the pool and all the confusion on messenger while doing it just to have them not even keep up on it for the entire season.
