Youre not convincing him of anything, he things Tom Wilson is going to get more money than Reinhart.

I agree with you mental,

I need to see sam play better to be convinced of anything.

Sam played really good the second half of the season

I was impressed, hopefully he continues that path.

Does the first half not bother you?

Doesn't a 2-3 year show me deal allow sam to prove that the 1st or 2nd half wasn't a fluke?

new coach
new system
moved to center with stink and stank on his wing

reasons to be slightly concerned but the second half showed me enough

the kid did average 22 goals a year for the first 3 seasons in the nhl and we struggle to score goals

if he was picked 32 in the draft instead of 2, pretty sure people would be more than pleased with his production so far

Lmao yeah everyone would be happy

But you still don’t understand why people are upset when he’s the first forward taken and the 6th best player

You would think differently if it was jack

For sure, his draft position and some of the guys drafted directly after have been better. That's aggravating.

We lost a whole season for him, that definitely alters my opinion of him.

Fair or not, when you are the first forward picked in the draft, you should be averaging at least 22 goals a year.

I'm a huge Sabres fan, so obviously I hope he becomes a star. I just think 8 years based on his resume is premature.

You didn't answer why they wouldn't even discuss a contract last year? Wouldn't the Sabres want him locked down ? If they were sold on him?

Ok so what’s Nylanders excuse then ? If he wasn’t an 8th overall pick he would have been sent down to the ECHL with his AHL production.

If oloffson has 20 plus goals next year, we are gonna love him.

Draft position definitely plays a huge part in our expectations.

I understand that. I’m not saying I’m thrilled with 23’s production as a 2nd overall pick. I usually agree with gerbe on subjects of matter apart from the differing of opinion on Nylander that’s all haha.

If oloffsson even plays an NHL game it’s a win for the franchise as a 7th overall pick.

They didn’t draft Reinhart to be Drew Stafford or Tyler Ennis caliber player.

They drafted him to be a cornerstone peice to a rebuild.

So far he’s slightly better than a young Ennis or Stafford, but still no where near a “cornerstone” player.

He’s been a major disappointment as a 2nd overall pick. But by no means should we give up on him as a player for this franchise.

I think the second half we saw more of a different player than a hot streak. I just hope that’s the case

There is still time for him at least. On the bright side he’s only 22 years old.

Seeing as he he only had 2 years in the AHL. Year 1 where he should of be in the OHL and year 2 where he was injured for the most of the year and ended up with 18 points in the last 23 that’s ECHL quality

He played 17 games as a Center, 3C to be exact.
During that span, produced 5 points 2G 3A...PPG = 0.294

The next 27 games he produced 8 points; 5G 3A...PPG = .296
Many of the games were with Jack and ROR...high QoTm

Reinhart sucked of his own volition in the first half of the season.

I think it is time to catagorize the he played center line as an excuse pure and simple.
