Seriously tho, who wouldn't love to see that. He will only be 28 or so. Of course a lot can happen by then - nastyflyergirl
I read somewhere (might have been twitter or one of the blogs I read) that Gaudreau actually goes down to Avalon during summers.
I mean, he could literally ride a bike to where they do the "Trial on the Isle" event.
Joking aside, I'd love for the Flyers to find a way to get Gaudreau to come to Philly. |

Yes, the team who spent the last 5 years heavily investing into developing their own Dmen should go trade their 1C for one. - hereticpride
Just cause he plays on the first line does not make him a first line center |

Staring into my beer last night and I look up to see who is sitting directly across the bar from me. #16. He caught me immediately doing a double take and gave me a smile and a nod. - hereticpride
Where at? Somewhere in South Jersey or somewhere at the shore? |

Because they need a number #1 center
Sell high on coots. I mean I love him as a player but realistically last year was probably a career year. And we’re talking about Norris winner here. Not Ellis or something. Preds gonna have to move dman to get center |

That is assuming a lot of things go really well. Frost is almost certainly going to be in juniors this year and Rubtsov's stock keeps dropping. There is also no guarantee that Patrick reaches his potential to be a true 1C.
The NHL roster doesn't even have a 3C that all are confident in at the moment. |

Do they? Forsberg may disagree.

Actually I believe that Rubtsov’s stock has or was improving. |

Couturier is in his prime. With that being said, I doubt Nashville would do a one for one. Flyers have the defense prospects to the point that shouldn't and won't look to make that kind of deal.

Bill Meltzer: Quick Hits: Carter Hart, Charity Classic Weekend, Phila. Flyers PowerPlay - bmeltzer
My belief in the upcoming season is something will have to change and it will be something unpopular for many of you.
Okay, so let’s say I’m wrong. Dave Hakstol has Giroux playing wing in pen and Sean Couturier centering him and splitting them isn’t even a thought. It won’t happen. Can’t happen and that’s fine.
The Philadelphia Flyers have to work James van Riemsdyk into the line up as a main core member. It doesn’t make sense to take the 7 million dollar van Riemsdyk and have him as an absolute second line winger and a second unit Power Play specialist. This is a recipe for JvR to fail. Doing what James van Riemsdyk does, he might have to take over for Sean Couturier on the first unit Power Play. So it’s really picking your poison. What Coots brought to the PP last season for the first time versus what JvR’s bread and butter.
So will Giroux push back Couturier as a second line center (Maybe third line center if Patrick just needs to be in a top six role) and/or will JvR push Coots on to the second unit Power Play.
In my opinion, Couturier can center anywhere in the top nine and be successful. Giroux and JvR are top line players that’s where you need them. |

Yes.
I’m saying Coots might get pushed back somewhere in the line up, to some might be worse. |
