I think JT + Kadri could be good together.. spread that scoring out a bit.
You probably see Hyman and one of Johnsson/Kapanen on the PP ahead of Brown. - Feeling Glucky?
Why? Wouldn't you want to put best offensive players on the pp?
It'd be komorav all over again. |

Do they have such stats? - burn
I'm sure they do lol I'm not going looking for them.. I'm just forming my opinion on what I see |

They probably do (just not public)
As am I. I only if hyman was getting he puck so much you'd see him handling the puck more often. From what I see hyman goes in along the boards mucks it up and Matthews/nylander swoop in and scoop up puck. |

Matthews and nylander retrieve just as many or more.
It's not like hyman 100 recovery and Matthews and nylander 1 - burn

if they all play games i think Johnsson would score the most, then kap.
Brown is expendable. |

Exactly, and that’s why he’s there. F1 gets in and stops the d from getting the puck out. That’s what we’ve been saying the whole time haha! 👍 |

It seemed to me hyman got more flashy with the puck towards the end of the season. His playoff goal was a beaut. I think he's going to be a late bloomer. |

Our PP doesn't take one timers. You should have noticed that by now!
It's either a shot from the half boards. Or Marner tries that deflection pass. Or the odd shot from the high slot. That's all I ever see anyways. |

Reilly, just turned 24. Could very well be Carlson and his 60 plus points. Though I do like your karlsson idea...I would love to get pk. - mykokes
And Tampa Bay has Hedman, McDonagh and Sergachev. If they add Karlsson, what is Rielly going to do by himself?
PK would cost too much. Karlsson is the best available RHD and would be the lowest price. Not a low price, just the lowest compared to others on teams that don't want to give up their players. |

Leafs could very well have the best forwards in the game too. Malkin Crosby Kessel. ....am, jt, mm, wn. That's 2 ppg guys...possibly a 3rd in marner...and nylander who could become one too. Not to mention a 30 goal 55 to 60 point guy named kadri.
The Leafs also have two 50 point dmen right now. You preached patience and building from within and the draft for years....amigo. ..it's starting to pay off. No need to add a guy who's best years could very well be behind him. - mykokes
They don't have McDavid and they won't be up at the top of the list for at least a few more years when the Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin, Bergeron etc. begin to hit their late 30s.
There is a time for patience and there is a time for aggressiveness. Now is the time to be aggressive. Patience gave the Leafs the tools and the assets to have a surplus of forwards, now is the time to turn that into a Norris winning RHD on defense. |

I don’t know how anyone can argue the Leafs D isn’t significantly better with Karlsson in and Gardiner out.
And I like Gardiner.
I’d probably split up Karlsson and Rielly, since they can both carry inferior partners, and then it makes the matchups more even... but yea, absolutely a better team.
But (frank) Ryan. He does not go on the top line. He gets Horton-ed - Feeling Glucky?
Ryan would only be included if absolutely necessary and if Ottawa retains salary. If he's playing at 4 million and scoring 20-30 goals beside Tavares, he's not that bad. Not great, but not bad either. He has size and skill.
It's in no way, shape or form ideal to take on Ryan but if that's the difference maker between Karlsson going to Tampa Bay or coming to Toronto, it's a fair compromise. At 4 million AAV, even if he has 1 season at 20-30 goals, they could flip him. |

Amazing how 4 hour bans end after 4 hours.
But I'm sure you and Puck-us-all will have plenty of conversations with each other. |

We lost a lot of players recently to all those one timer injuries?
Dion hasn't played here for along time. |
