Trip down memory lane

I said a few months back this is a make or break year for Gaunce. As always in here it was a heavy debate about a meaningless topic. Booner led the debates other side. I stand by my statement this is a make or break year for him.

I am glad we spent 10 % of our cap hit on the bottom 6 because in years past they sucked. Here is hoping for a better year

- VANTEL

Ya, I'm joking, I don't really care. I think the writing is on the wall for him with the recent signings unless he makes some noise. Needs to be better offensively to stick long-term. Otherwise, I see him as a bottom-6 call-up for the rest of his career, bouncing around different teams.

Lots of excitement about the rookies and prospects. Lots of bold statements made by the group on here over the last few months. I think we will have another awful season before we see any benefit (in standings) from our prospect group.

There is going to be some epic crying in here during the regular season.

I don't think they're a mess either, they're just a rebuilding team. I don't think they're particularly managed well but these bad seasons are only going to help them build a quality prospect pool.

I don't think there's a lot of spots open, we'll see, but I personally don't see anything wrong with a kid making the lineup if he makes the team better. You don't wait for your team to get better before you inject youth, you inject youth because your team is poor and they make you better.

O ya for sure but there is a chance EP will not play next year. Just looking at it from all angles.

They're taking a dangerous path putting too much pressure on the kids.

The good new is that it will result in another bottom 5 finish.

So, any roomers?

Benning said he is going to either waive or send both Stecher and Hutton down, if he can’t trade them.

BTW Benning is a genius

Oh yes there will be. Optimism in July, realism in January.

Gaunce was a more productive scorrer than Rousel last year, just sayin. If he makes the team he will either be on the "3rd" line, or in the pressbox, instead of the 4th line. Its one of the reasons I dont like signing an entire 4th line. It pushes guys up the lineup.

I wonder though, if Green wont mix Schaller and Rousel in on different lines with skilled players for more ballance?

I'm not worried about heavy G, just pointing out that he scored one less goal (4 instead of 5) in 36 fewer games (37 compared to 73) than one of the guys replacing him.

Put them on the same line, with Gagner in the middle. High ozone starts. They can duke it out to see who's actually better.
