I'd be totally down for it for a guy like Franson. He's only 30 somebody always gives up a draft pick for him because he's a RHS.

I actually don't hate the idea of giving either of those guys a fair salary and flipping them for even a 3rd like Holden. Although picking up Orpik might start riots being a LHD.

Doesn’t have to be them in particular, but they seem to be the most attractive options. Sadly haha

WOW! I get that everybody is tired of waiting for something to happen(except mr burton who has apparently given up on this year and next but geez codey McLeod is probably going to be buried in Hartford watching out for the kids and playing a few games in ny when needed.everybody needs to chill out! And I know I’m in the minority here but I’ll take squeaking in to the playoffs and losing in the first round to watching no playoff games. (Sorry mr burton).

Something tells me this will be a year of doing nothing. As crazy as Dundee is, I've read some financial analyst reports about MSG Corp and there is some truth to Dolan looking to spin off the sports franchises. The whole "no bad contracts on the books" thing adds fuel to the fire.

Jan, I understand you having to put something out there. Too much being made of McLeod, good chance he s not around after training camp. What I do take issue with is the notion that other teams are taking on salary and we should too. I think it’s unfair to say Gorton is “sitting around twiddling his thumbs”. We don’t need to take somebody else’s garbage. I’m sure Gorton has talked, but maybe, and rightfully, he’s not doing it without getting as good a return as he wants. I’d rather have the extra cap space when needed instead of talking about having to buy out some guys later. Would also add, Zuc only big contact coming off next season and will need to bump pay on rfa’s DeAngelo, Pionk and Buchnevich

Oh there is certainly some validity to what he is saying. The asinine part is that he thinks it will be a good thing. An owner that pumps money in and leaves the day to day operations alone is a good thing. The Knicks are a mess but the Rangers have been fine under Dolan.

When people bash Dolan regarding the rangers, they’re flat out clueless. He doesn’t step on anyone’s toes, he’s been more then willing to pay players and is barely ever been in the spotlight with anything they have done (ie-putting 2 cents in) Idk what more you can ask for from an owner. The Knicks on the other hand? oofah. But honestly who gives a frank haha

I did hear a convo between Frank Iosola and I think Joe and Evan, and Frank said that in 5 yrs or so Dolan would be looking to sell.

I can’t believe i agree with you!! Lol

I understand the picking up salaries thing, but to a point. Picking up Ryan’s deal is a little to crazy for my liking

Deangelo shouldn’t get much btw, if he’s even around after next year

Still gotta sign Big Willy Karlsson (not that his deal will make them have no cap space)

I've said and been banned for worse. No big deal. Yeah I expect Kalrsson to get 3.5-4.5 million. Plus they get to Clarkson on LTIR once the the season starts. They're good.
