Give Orpik 6 mill for a yr then retain half of that for a deadline acquisition. Ward 5 million, retain half and do the same thing. That’s brilliance!! and using the cap space wisely. You do have to give them a lot to get them to come. But teams would probaly want that kind of guy for playoff push

I actually don't hate the idea of giving either of those guys a fair salary and flipping them for even a 3rd like Holden. Although picking up Orpik might start riots being a LHD.
