I doubt it. Not too many “cancers” get voted captain by their teammates. I think everything that could go wrong just has in Montreal. I hope Bergevin gets extended!

In order to properly evaluate this type of deal you have to include anything you get back from Arizona PLUS the player you add/sign because of the additional cap room.

So maybe you get only a 2nd round pick back.

Before the trade the Hawks had $3.9 mil in cap space. Add Hino's $1.2 mil. Add Hossa's 5.275 mil. That gives you $10.375 mil in cap space. If you trade AA that adds another $4.55mil. Total 14.925 mil in contracts you can sign or trade for.

No more going backwards. LOVED Kruger and Hammer, but that ship has sailed. Lets keep moving forward please..

Although I can see this from a PR stand-point- once again bringing back past heroes. And that is what scares me is this will be less a hockey move and more a move to make some "noise".

this tells me if we ever wanted to move Seabs we would also have to give them Nick S, 1st and Kane. in total $ we are paying more and they get the better players and better pick!
