They only added one of the absolute best centre's in the game to their team, so no. They're not contenders, unfortunately.

Defense still sucks even though they allowed less goals against than some of the teams that are actually contenders.

France did a pretty good job yesterday of proving why a lot of people don't like soccer. Don't even get touched and fall over and the other team gets yellow cards for it. It's embarrassing for not only the clown diving but the ref, as well.

Beer league teams don't belong in semi-finals of World Championships.

btw, I grew up with football here in Europe, but it's such an easy win of hockey over football (as for interesting sports).

Rugby is a nice 2nd though to hockey.

Football is better than basketball, baseball and american eggball though.
