These guys grew up, having dreams of winning the Stanley Cup, not about making bank.
When they were kids playing hockey, they were probably picturing themselves scoring the OT winner in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final. I'd be willing to bet, even more than they would picture themselves playing in a tax-free market or how much money they will make before they turn 25..

Exactly -- hell, in Nylander's case, his dad made plenty of cash as an NHL player. Doubt William Nylander's sitting there saying he needs every last dime he can wring out of the Leafs. His life probably wasn't too bad growing up
