(frank)ing disgrace Sundin never had the players they have today to play with.
- Unholy_Goalie

Yeah he carried a bunch of guys. I could have scored twenty goals with him.

Yoohoo, sorry to interrupt fellas, but I have something for Tumbleweed.

Had to create it myself, so nothing spectacular. But as it's a rough time for the Sens these days, it'll be nice for you to show them love this upcoming season.

Nicely done dude. Hopefully they get a good haul for EK. If the Draisatl rumours are true he'd be a great youngcenter piece to add to a young core for a rebuild/regroup.

Love old man Marleau.. He can still hang and produce, he has a mission to cement his legacy with a cup. I think he was a great example in the playoffs to young players. Matthews knows he has to step up next time. Toronto has become about one thing, winning a cup. Tavares wants to win, took less. Kadri and Rielly same thing. Matthews, Nylander and Marner i suspect will too. Maybe Marleau will restructure his contract in the 3rd year to open up some more cap space?
- Arctic_AARDVARK

That's not a thing they are allowed to do. Restructure to save cap space. Leafs will have to unload him for year 3 of his contract. Salary will be $4mil and cap hit $6.25. If most of that $4mil salary is signing bonus then he could be a bargain for a budget team who doesn't spend to the cap.

Quinn tried and was competent. He made lots of trades and signings to get it done, it just didn't work out. The real troubling part for me is in the NON cap era we weren't able to be the Yankees of the hockey world and build a winner just buying players.

I think he will be gone in Year 3. I wonder where... San Jose maybe? Dallas?

different scale though

Edmonton could very well turn it around this year.

Ottawa is going to be plain bad. Then they are going to get worse.

Jesus can you imagine Stone gets an arbitrator's award and leaves as a UFA next summer and Duchene doesn't re-sign.

Why should they, it is not like they are getting more money to stay there and if the Sens do open up the vault, is there any evidence to suggest they will surround those two with a decent supporting cast. There is literally nothing to sell any player on Ottawa at this point.

I think we can afford him on a short term deal. 1 or 2 years.

I see Stone leaving, easily. I would bet on it.

Duchene likes living close to his roots in haliburton I hear, who knows though.

They should be trading both of them....but they can't...they need to not be a bottom 5 team next year. It's a poop show
