Does not compute. I can see why Spurgeon would be needed on the Leafs. Zucker's not needed in any capacity.

Leafs offence was tops last year and they also added Tavares. I dont get them trading for even more forwards while giving up their top scoring dman in the process.

leafs need a righty. i could see dubas liking spurgeon's game. we can afford to trade a lefty. guys like gardiner don't have much trade value with one year left (e.g. shattenkirk).

A guy who has almost retired has retired.

I'm pretty sure it was Sundin who was talking about retirement, and noted that if you're not fully committed to the process involved in playing (fitness, compete level, on ice awareness), you're going to get hurt or worse.
