I'm not sure throwing young guys like Kapanen or Johnsson would work.

Kapanen's a staple on the PK; that speed is such a threat on it's own, makes guys think twice about east-west on the blueline.

Brown/Hyman too, and I bet we see Kadri out there to get his minutes up.

Personally I hate it that on the road to Leafs' next 3 Stanley Cups in coming 5 years, they won't be able to eliminate Ottawa and Montreal in a series, just because these teams will not make the playoffs.

Ideal road to Stanley Cup for Leafs:

round 1: defeat Ottawa
round 2: defeat Boston
round 3: defeat Montreal
finals: defeat Edmonton
