I think you're confused. John Tavares is a top-five forward in the league. He turned down more money elsewhere to join the Leafs. Given today's market, he's actually underpaid

Fair enough. This was not his best year. But he deserves to be in any conversation about the Top 5 forwards in the league. Example, if we rephrase the question and ask if you have one game to win the Stanley Cup, who are your top 6 forwards? Kane is one of those 6.
