Bellows wont be on the team this year, i doubt hosang or dal colle will be either. Walstrom dobson no no no this team will suck this year regardless of 4th liners

Let the team suck for a year or 2 until all the kids are ready to go. At this point is 2 more seasons of rebuilding going to matter?

This team couldnt make the playoffs with jt doubt they make it without him but we will see

Agree. No top tier players are coming here as they have NTCs. Also last year we lost Hamonic, and this year DeHaan without any real additions. D will be horrible.

I have a hunch. I think all these signings are to give extra competition to the rookies as well as JHS and Cizikas. These signings tell me that nobody is safe. If you don't perform at training camp, you will be waived.

And playing 2nd or 3rd line here he's going to get less relative quality of linemates and less or even no PP time

That is not really how you calculate the point projection though… If you insist on only looking at last years statistics, then it would be: 0.64PPG x 82games x 0.74 = 39 points

If you look at his KHL average, then it would be: 1PPG x 82games x 0.74 = 61 points

Do I think Kovar is going to be a great player - No. But I have never seen him play, so I really do not know what to expect. If you are coming here to troll. At least get the math right.

Sorokin, barzal, pulock, dobson,walstrom these guys all on the team in 3 years...now thats what im waiting for...and ross johnston to protect them

If we were getting trolled by Caps fans I would tip my hat and say so be it... we are being trolled by a fan base that has not won sht in my lifetime. They have not won since there was less teams in the NHL than my beer league but somehow feel they are the Yankees of hockey.

You hit it spot on....There is no other fan base in professional sports that celebrates mediocrity like the Toronto Maple Leafs fans. The NY Ranger fan base is a close second. The biggest difference is the Leafs nation has a tremendous sense of entitlement. Hey, who's really paying attention anyway...Im sure the Leafs will win it one day, even the Cubs won eventually......Not every team can win 19 straight playoff series....just sayin....

If you are referring to the Leafs, I haven't seen any leaf fans trolling. Not sure what you're going on about. If anything I've seen salty Isles fans trashing Tavares decision and how he is bad at hockey now. Just sayin..

I will trash how he went about his decision. He had every right to leave, but how he did it is another thing.

Hes good at hockey, there are flaws in his game like any player though.

The worst thing about all of this, no matter how handled by the player, is that the Isles owners should have said to trade him at the trade deadline instead of telling Garth Snow no.

A player past deadline with no commitment or assurance to re-sign is all on owners no matter how sliced and diced.

Agreed, the whole entire way this was handled bugged me.

But at the end of the day i trust lou, even if its a 3/4 year plan hes got something planned. Plus at this point why rush it? Let the kids develop and wait until wahlstrom,dobson,wilde are ready and sorokin comes
