I don't know, I've been hearing people saying that for quite awhile and they really haven't lost anyone significant that didn't have an equally-or-better talented player behind them ready to step in. Maybe Yanni Gourde? But if Yanni Gourde is the cost of locking up a core of Stamkos/Kucherov/Palat/Johnson/Hedman/Vasy/etc... then I don't think that's so bad.

Tampa Bay would be the gold standard of the NHL if they could manage to win a Cup. It's astounding that they haven't yet.
