I think there's a 50/50 chance he spends some time in the A. Over cooking prospects is our thing after all - Tfaehner
How much over cooking did they do on Provorov and Konecny? |

Would also mean that Lindblom is on the 4th line. - BiggE
I like the kid but I didn't see too much last year that screamed to me that he doesn't belong on the 4th line on a good team. |

They sent provorov down for 1 more year of junior when nearly every analyst reporter etc said he was nhl ready. Tk was a bit of a surprise and went against the grain. The rest have been right on pace with the overcooking philosophy. "Can never be too ready" |

He was just an 18 year old kid. And they still kept him up when he had one more year of Junior eligibility.
I hardly think he was overcooked.
edit: Which prospects are not playing for the team who you think have been overcooked? |

The only case I can see making is that Morin had done enough to earn a spot out of camp last year but lost out due a mix of the numbers game and coaches preference.
That’s all I got. |

And I agree. I felt he was the best of the three coming out of camp.

He was.
Sam would be a starter in the top 6 this season if it wasn't for the injury. Part of me just wants him to get the hell out of the AHL. Seems that maybe some of the scrubs looking to make a name for themselves try to do it by going after Morin.
Get the kid out of that neanderthal league. |

Seems like they handled Provorov perfectly to me. They do have quite a conservative approach but it seems to be mostly working. I do believe Morin could have been up sooner and wasn't a big fan of how Sanheim was handled last year. |

He has to go through waivers now so the only time he'll be in the AHL is for a conditioning stint. Otherwise they will lose him. |

He was a rookie who was pretty responsible on his play without the puck last year. His offense was snake bitten early on. Seemed to be at the right place at the right time but the puck didn't go into the net. Right now he seems like a fourth liner on a good team but I think he has a higher ceiling. |

Haha. Al thinks he is not an NHL talent level. "Bust" I think he said.
I think most here, including me, thinks he is someone that can make a positive impact on the NHL team. They will not sent him through waivers when he is healthy. He would never make it.
He should make an impact on the penalty kill and be a physical force in front of the goalies.

I think I would go with something like the following and move Simmonds up and down the first 2 lines as needed or based on how he is playing.
Giroux - Coots - Voracek
JVR - Patrick - TK
Lindblom - Laughton - Simmonds
Raffl - Lehtera - Weise |

Yeah....no.
Giroux will never play center again. The Flyers have a crapload of money invested in him and they want him to be as productive as possible for as long as possible. Playing center pretty much negates that idea.

I’ll bet you a million dollars Giroux will play center at some point in his career. |

LOL, of course he will, for a shift or as needed depending on the situation. But he will no longer be considered a center. So take your bet and shove it up your ass.

Or possibly during a stretch during a long term injury? You admitting he’ll play center again is good enough |

Some guy with a horrible hair piece on ESPN is saying that there are 4 teams chasing Manny Machado more than the Phillies are. I really hate the Phillies front office. |

Agreed, I mean why would you not rent a player for Sixto Sanchez +/- Efflin ++ with no guarantees he re-signs when you could just wait til the offseason where he tests FA and attempt to sign him then for just money? This is definitely the time to empty the farm considering they're only Machado away from winning a WS right? |
