I think we will hold onto Edler Sutter and Tanev until TDL.
There is no reason in the world not to trade Edler at TDL. With his NTC Jim needs to play some hard ball.
Sutter I can see sticking until Pettersson is ready and Gaudette
We do have a lot of prospects - VANTEL
I agree, its looking like that will probably happen unless Toronto finally bites on Tanev. I think management is smart enough to know the fanbase would riot if they held onto a top 4 D UFA at the deadline.

Not a lot of teams are trading their first round picks these days. GMs are realizing the value. I don't like trading good players for seconds until the draft improves more. It is getting harder to trade for quality picks these days , that is why trades are not that common.
I don't mind trades for Dahlen Goldobin and Leipsic - VANTEL
2nd round picks are fine too depending on the trade. Don't you like Demko and Woo? And that's the round Dahlen was originally drafted in by Ottawa.
Outside of Dahlen, most of the young players/prospects the Canucks have acquired through trade all have tweener upside at best. At least with the 2nd round pick, there's a chance you draft a top 4 dman or legit top 6 forward.

The first 3 are a lock, Dahlen will really have to impress to earn a spot out of camp, but I can see him earning a call up from the AHL once injuries hit.
Gaudette has a better chance since the C's he's going up against are weak and there aren't many natural C's on this current roster.

I can see Tanev lasting until TDL 2020. If someone is just offering a second or a B prospect . Keep him to help our kids instead.
Edler should be traded this year seeing his contract runs out so even a second is fine . It is a 3 month rental |

Demko and Woo have not yet play a game . I am not as sold on Demko in the NHL yet. He had a few times last year he had brain farts and like the last three minutes against Chicago he showed that he is still vulnerable . |

The other 3 you mentioned have yet to become full time NHL'ers either though.
Same boat as Demko outside of playing a few NHL games, Leipsic and Goldobin are basically just AHL stars trying to crack the NHL. |

Agree the kid looks great but cracking the lineup now will be a bit tougher. Maybe he'll have a killer camp. |

If he's dominating in Utica then he should be. He'll be 23 in December, letting him be a backup/1B to Markstrom by the TDL is a step that should be made if he's dominating the AHL again. |

I suspect he'll get sent down for a month and then get the call. |

Just by the law of averages, there's going to be a couple of prospects who will struggle this year, but there should be a few who continue to develop well too.
Going to be interesting to see which ones swim and which ones sink |

Pumped for Utica this year.
https://canucksarmy.com/2...ie-race-class-of-2018-19/ - Eldebrink
In years past I've always chuckled at the people who said this and named off like 5-7 prospects with limited NHL potential, but this is the first time in basically forever that I actually am excited to follow Utica, even if Gaudette and EP start in the NHL.

It’s not rocket science, I spend 3 bucks when I go for coffee 50-70 when I stop for gas. If my car could run on coffee I might complain of the cost, but if runs on petrol and the price has gone up. Are you guys really defending mega corporations ramping up costs for no reason right now? - neem55
