absolutely....or a dolled up $8 starbucks coffee

unit wise A litre of basic regular coffee (33.814 oz) would be more than $8 which is more than 5x that of gas at $1.50, but no one whines about the cost of coffee.

How much is a litre of water? $1-4

so these fluids are more expensive than a litre of gas yet we whine about gas
I suppose it's due to needing about 70 L of it when purchased

- SMBDragon

It’s not rocket science, I spend 3 bucks when I go for coffee 50-70 when I stop for gas. If my car could run on coffee I might complain of the cost, but if runs on petrol and the price has gone up. Are you guys really defending mega corporations ramping up costs for no reason right now?

If makes 3-4 trades for picks between now and the tdl, I might be onboard. He’s got a steep hill to climb

there's people out there who feel bad for Benning because he's such a knucklehead and write stuff like this to defend him.

What he'll net for picks won't be substantial, if he lands any at all.

He's better giving them away than acquiring them.

It's like he doesn't know how to ask for anything higher than a 4th

I think he's more interested in acquiring seasoned players than picks.

Certainly the best way to rebuild, with as few picks as you can

I get it that it's not easy to trade for high picks, you don't see it as much these days.

JB seem's to struggle in that area, when his peers still seem to pull it off.

Ya, if doesn’t have a good deadline he should be replaced before the draft. Hopefully Sutter and one of Tanev or Edler are gone

For a reasonable return. Apparently Tavev to TO rumors are still floating around, as well as Sutter to CHI.

I’m not to worried about return at this stage. I’d be happy with two seconds and a B prospect for the pair. If we could get a late first for Tanev I think that’s fair at this stage

Not a lot of teams are trading their first round picks these days. GMs are realizing the value. I don't like trading good players for seconds until the draft improves more. It is getting harder to trade for quality picks these days , that is why trades are not that common.

I don't mind trades for Dahlen Goldobin and Leipsic

Very true, until the trade deadline and people get stupid
Edit: Except when Benning is trying to deal (excluding Dahlen)

I think we will hold onto Edler Sutter and Tanev until TDL.

There is no reason in the world not to trade Edler at TDL. With his NTC Jim needs to play some hard ball.

Sutter I can see sticking until Pettersson is ready and Gaudette

We do have a lot of prospects
