Didn't the recapture penalty come in after all contracts were signed? How can you be aware of circumstances if the rule doesn't exist yet? - VANTEL
for memory I think it was pretty soon after the luongo contract with it being the catalyst |

okay then - hillbillydeluxe
I think a few GM's would take a chance on him. His rookie numbers were solid they would just chalk it up to Hutton not being used properly lol |

The players should be the ones having to pay if they retire from their contracts early. I also dont see how Nash has to pay for Weber when no salary was retained, Montreal should be taking the responsibility of the player they wanted - phyllee
you're right, the habs should
But I think it is because Nash (and like Van with luongo) are the team who signed the player to the contract structured around cap circumvention. So a deterrent for teams wishing to make such contracts.
I doubt the habs make that trade if they were on the hook for recapture |

Maybe, I just don't think there are many that would qualify at the end of the season. |

people are so stooopid. They complain about the price of petrol but they don't mind wasting ten dollars on a piece of toast or spending three dollars on a 500ml bottle of water. |

I think Dragon is right. They made the adjustment to the CBA after Luongo and another player were signed through a loop hole.

Or the people who smoke complaining about the price of anything...
If you live in the interior... gas is the number one gripe. Not many elite toast people here.

Lol, you're really under rating McGavins whole grain, it's a 5 star product, worth at least 10.19 |
