Really? What NHL team do you GM for?
I can 100% guarantee you have no idea what a GM puts stock in.
When a player has surpassed 300ish games, sure, draft stock starts to disappear. But until then, it still matters.

I agree. There is always a GM looking and wondering if that potential is still there.
Seems to happen to first rounders as a whole.
Even look at Nichuskin from the same draft year. What has he done to warrant 3mil a year for 2 years? Guy was a 30 point player when he left. He's numbers really aren't any better in year 2 in the KHL than year 1, yet for some reason Dallas is paying him a decent salary to come back.
