I wonder what the next pleasant surprise the Habs have reserved for this week
- stinger67
A friend told me yesterday about how season tickets (like himself) have been (frank)ed by the Habs. The renewal session usually goes around that time of the year, but the Glorieux did something different.
During the playoffs, they sent the renewal notices... way earlier than usual. What happens the day after the renewal deadline is passed? They announce that Weber is out 5 to 6 months, an information they already had before the playoffs.
No way they were on Tavares or O'Reilly if they knew that already. They played their fans and customers.

Even when we had good teams, I see no interest in the CFL.
Imagine when our team manages to be the worst of an irrelevant league.... - Scabeh
football is kind of boring when played at its highest level. when you get to the CFL... |

The timing does look pretty bad. It sucks for anyone who feels wronged by this.
But then again, even with Weber in the lineup, it's not like you'd expect this team to be competitive....
And Weber is only out until December. Considering how long you have to wait to actually get season tickets, I doubt people would cancel because they knew Weber was out for 3 months of the season. IMHO. |

My friend cancelled it, he had a bad feeling and total disgust for the last 6 years. I think a lot of people cancelled already too because it's now pretty easy to spend $1000 more and go closer to the ice, something that would have been science-fiction 10 years ago. |

kind of shows you how low this organization was sinking. there was a time they wouldn't have given a poop because the waiting list for season tickets was so long. it doesn't take long now. maybe there isn't a waiting list anymore, i don't know.
there's going to be a lot of empty seats at the Bell Centre this year though. |

My boss is also a season-ticket owner...tried to put a few pairs on sale last year (because he couldn't make it to the game) and he never got any takers. Ended up giving them away.
It's pretty bad. Not only that the product on the ice sucks, we get butt(frank)ed by ticket prices that are just ridiculously high |

and I know sth who unable to sell their tickects like they usually do, tried to give them away. unable to find takers for free tickets! they had to give the tickets to charity organizations.
fact is, if sth were not getting a tax refund for their tickets, many of them wouldn't buy season tickets at all. |

Hey, who wouldn't pay top dollars to get the chance to watch Byron Froese dump the puck and not retrieve it? |

I'd take free tickets, I'd even be interested in tickets under cost for sure. I always have a good time at the Bell centre, even when we lose. I enjoy watching hockey and good players even when they're on the other team.
Paying full price for the kind of team we have, no thank you. |

In Richardson's past assistant coaching jobs, was he in fact a D-coach? If so, did he, or was/is capable of deploying a current and relevant defensive structure for today's NHL? |

I doubt he can do any worse than JJ Daigneault to be honest |

I think that's a given!!
As long as he can help develop the younger kids at this point would be a plus. Since we're gonna have another painful season anyways.....it would be a small step in the right direction. |
