let's all avoid the temptation to panic. there is nothing in the nhl doctrine that says the montreal Canadians deserve anything based on their history alone. in fact, the most "storied" organization of all time is no more equal than the least storied organizations of all time. the only hope for future glory in montreal is to start building the puzzle from scratch.
for that, our braintrust needs a vision. sadly and clearly, bergevin and his 6+ year vision has proven to be an utter failure. however, the bouchard, ducharme +++ tenure is about to begin. let's all hope that between the picks that the bergevin regime has left the organization, and with a new set of eyes, that in 3 years they will make the canadiens great again.
