1st line centre
In Laval. - BashCH
Hey if he ends up having a good year there next season, I think it's a great sign.
I honestly have no idea how he will transit to pro.

Most likely yes. It's for the best.
I wonder how Evans will fare this season. - Scabeh

Valiev-Lernout
Moravcic-Sklenicka
Extras: Melancon, Plant
Lindgren
McNiven

To be honest, I'm having a hard time understanding how we can afford to take a chance on guys like Streit and Hemsky but not on a young player like Duclair.
I'm guessing he has a terrible reputation? Because Domi and Drouin sure looked like they liked him. |

Well...that's 3 teams now that give up on him...there must be a reason. |

The Rangers traded him for Yandle... I'd hardly call that giving up on him. |

How many 4th line wingers do the Habs need?
He would not take a 2-way contract, when offered. Good for him for getting a 1-way with CBJ. |

Ok...2 then.
They probably felt they have enough bottom 6 players with one way deals already |

No offers were made.
« C'était une fausse rumeur. D'après ce que mes agents m'ont dit, ils ont démontré de l'intérêt, mais n'ont jamais présenté d'offre, que ce soit un contrat à un volet ou à deux volets, donc c'est une fausse rumeur », a évoqué Duclair en conférence téléphonique, vendredi. |

Meh, not the right leadership group to bring in a problem case. Every second chance they gave ended up in a tree or in rehab or a buyout.
Only Radulov payed off and it's because he was 6 years older and more mature than in Nashville.

Right, why sign the one that has a small chance of being more than a bottom 6 player when you can sign Peca? |

I have a friend who knows someone who was at the Habs golf tournament that year. Apparently there was a lot of booze at Radulov's table during dinner |

They called his agent to ask him if he would consider a two-way deal, they said no. Before accepting the offer in Colombus, his agent called Bergevin to ask if they changed their mind. He did not get a call back. (per Mathias Brun-et)
So yes no offers were ever made. |

Nashville has a ~24 million cap recapture penalty that will be divided equally by the number of years remaining on Weber's contract when he retires. - braidan

Peca is a centre at least.
Don't get why people are so pissed that the Habs didn't sign an 8th left winger... |

I have no idea what they see in him
...but I'm just not sold on Duclair.
...or at least the reasons why some people ABSOLUTELY wanted the Habs to sign him. |
