Willes paints a poor picture here as he fails to mention what each franchise was left with as far as youth. At the end of the 2014/14 season here's the under 25 kids each guy inherited.

Their bolded list is far better than ours!!

I watched as much of the livestream as I could (it failed 3-4 times on me) and Hughes was on the right side every time he was out.

The kid has dynamite skill, vision and edgework...super excited about his potential. He made good passes, cleared the zone with pace and was dangerous in the offensive zone. His shoot out goal was sick.

I don't think he looked ready to jump to the NHL yet, though. Perhaps he was still dealing with the after-effects of the flu, but he seemed to not have a great deal of stamina and gave up on a couple of backchecks when he was caught up ice.

Another year in Michigan would be best for him IMO....but whuddo I know.

Didn't watch the game , listened to about 5 minutes on the radio. Palmu sounds like he will be a spark plug.
