Oh I know he does and that people with a history are more susceptible to them and more severe symptoms. I just mean that any player is one very bad hit to the head away from hanging them up. Hell, you and I could have our careers end due a massive hit to the head. - MattStrat
BFD...Letang has had how many concussions and a stroke....Then theres 87, why would Skinner be a concern? Maata has had cancer and double shoulder surgery.
Its a dangerous sport and they get paid millions. When the players and owners act concerned maybe things will change. RW wants hitting eliminated from the game, so that will be fun to watch!
BTW, Carcillo had a FB interview discussing concussions, its pretty alarming. |

No, I think RW wants the malicious sh!t gone.. The straight up goonery. I'm with him on that. I love checking when it's done properly and within the rule book. You can lay a hit that ls both hard and clean at the same time. It's a beautiful sight to behold. |

100% Bubba.
That crap that Wilson was doing in the playoffs is just plain predatory & should be penalised.
I'm looking forward to Barzal getting wiped by Wilson to see what Trotz says. |

Signing bums like Jack Johnson and Matt Cullen while missing out on Christ Kunitz and Anthony Duclair. |

I’m assuming something has to be wrong with Duclair. Still pretty young and showed his potential a couple years ago but only signs for 650k on a 1 year contract. That’s an extremely low risk move no matter what problems he may have |

I'm very curious as to what this Karlsson deal is. How in the world did Tampa get him? Like Hedman had to go the other way, right? Is it even worth it to exchange Hedman for Karlsson? |

Hedman isn't going anywhere lol pretty sure the goal is to have a Hedman-Karlsson 1st pairing and a McDonagh-Stralman 2nd pairing, then who gives a (frank) about the 3rd pairing since they'll only play like 3 minutes a night?
Tampa is probably going to lose one of Sergachev/Point, Tyler Johnson, a 1st, and probably some assets to a 3rd team to take on salary to make room for a Karlsson extension. |

There's not enough pucks on the ice for all the good/great players on Tampa!
It's going to be a case of great talents with no chemistry.
If Tampa start the season badly, Cooper must go.
And no, I'll bet Hedman stays put. Brayden Point would be a must along with Segachev (?) that guy from Montreal I would think. |

Not sure how unpopular of an opinion this will end up being but I think:
Guentzel-Crosby-Hornqvist
Pacioretty-Malkin-Kessel
Rust-Sheahan-Sprong
Hagelin-Cullen/Bleuger-ZAR
Is a better lineup than:
Guentzel-Crosby-Hornqvist
Hagelin-Malkin-Kessel
Rust-Brassard-Sprong
Simon-Sheahan-ZAR - Victoro311
No it’s not. The lines won’t look like that anyways. More like
Guentzel Crosby Sprong
Haglen Malkin Hornqvist
ZAR Brassard Kessel
Rust Sheahan Simon
More balance, less top heavy. |

Rust with She-man on the 4th line will demand more ice time. They will be very very good in my opinion. |

I'm not sure they're gonna want a guy they're paying 3.5 million on the 4th line. |

If Pittsburgh did have intrest in duclair? ..why the hell did he sign with Columbus? .650 at that ..if he was on the fourth line giving hustle. .he might have had a chance to move up?..missed opportunity ....for him that is |

Probably a playing time issue. He would have to play above Guentzel, Hagelin, ZAR, Cullen/Sheahan at least. And those are all guys who are a experienced in the Pens system.
Even if he gets in the lineup he might end up with less than 12 minutes per game. Better to go to a team with much less skill, get more ice time and hope to impress them enough for a long term deal.

If I was him, I'd bank on the Pens getting him his payday next season - not from the Pens, but after a cracking season with the Pens another team will hand him a $$$$ contract. It's just the way it goes, most players get to play better on the Pens & bang, payday. |

Shut up with your rationality! - Reverend Killtaker
Well considering the East has got a little tougher, the Pens are going to have to lean on depth scoring from the bottom 6. I'm all for Rust & She-man on the 4th line creating headaches galore for the opposition 3rd pair. |
