Yup...good points. As much as I want a different look with our defense this year I would prefer Hughes go to Michigan and OJ go to Utica if not ready. Rathbone is a lefty I think so we are loaded on the left side.
- Eldebrink

I think Hughes should go back to college or Utica for 1 year, but I hope OJ makes the team. There would be serious growing pains trying to bring both of them in at the same time so I'd like to see OJ playing 3rd pairing minutes this year if he seems ready at training camp

Do you see Goldobin playing in the Top 6? I think he might be one of players moved before the season starts.
- Eldebrink

Goldy is the odd man out, so is guance

Baertschi-Horvat-Boeser

I think so too. Gaunce back to Utica, Granlund is versatile so can slot in anywhere with injuries, so unless Goldy has an amazing camp/preseason, I think him or Leipsic go.

Leipsic isn't a fourth line player, where's the younger guys?

Boeser, Bo, Virtanen, Leipsic, and Peterson are all younger guys. I like guance as a fourth liner as well.... but unless there is a trade or two this is how I see it shaking down.
Nighthawk, your reputation is getting tarnished by your lack of lineups.

Also, sutter isn't a 2nd liner.... but for us he is.

Ganger isn't a fourth liner, is he? And Leipsic is only 24, a year older than Horvat.

I said it yesterday, I think unless Goldobin has a very good training camp he might very well have played his last game as a canuck

Did that have anything to do with what I said?

I agree with your statement btw.

Interesting that Sutter drove offense better then Kesler last year...

Roussel is a fourth liner, I'd like to see Gaudette centering Dhalen and Pettersson or Leipsic and Virtanen.

Roussel had 5 goals in 73 games, Leipsic had 3 in 14 games, he's way more talented than Roussel offensively.

Gagner seems to be a guy who doesn't fit anywhere, they should get rid of him.

I like that it has created competition that the have to come to come to camp ready and get going right from the get go. It bothers me to no end when it takes a player until Christmas to get his game going

Kesler is trash

Boy are we ever going to need a lot from Horvat this year if Gaudette doesn't make the team.

I think Dhalen, Pettersson, Juolevi and Gaudette have a good shot at making the team. Hoping anyways.

I agree internal competition is great. The only poopty part about it is that if it's a tie between Gagner and Goldobin they will hand the spot to Gagner. I hate the preferential treatment of vets who haven't really earned it.

They all do, but I only see room for EP and OJ honestly. At least with the roster as it is and to start the year. Could look very different by Xmas or the TDL

Kesler only played about 1/2 the season after returning from major hip surgery. Using that to make Sutter look better is pretty desperate.

If you don't take into account Kesler had major hip surgery and didn't play a game until after the Christmas break that might fool some people.

Obviously he came back too early as there's talk of him missing this entire season.

I will be honest I really am not worried at all this year.

I don't know if Gagner or Goldobin will be on the team in Sept for one thing.

Secondly I know we will still be in the bottom part of the league getting another good draft pick. We still are years away from being years away.
