Except that every professional hockey team has a analytics department. It's one of many things to consider, but stupid to ignore. It would be like going to look at a house and being like "well it passes the eye test" and not looking at any of the paperwork. - neem55

I'll probably catch some flack for this but Darryl Sittler was my favourite player as a kid, even though I wasn't a Leaf fan, Leaf and Canadiens games is all we ever got on tv in the 70's.
I think he scored 40 goals his first year with the Flyers, kinda been a fan ever since, that's the reason I'm a two timer - LeftCoaster
If were going off the Canucks, I'm also going to catch poop because Forsberg burned us more than once... but Forsberg was my favourite. |

Probably St. Louis or Gaborik. I didn't get interested in hockey until I was a teenager |

Oh man, except they got Ricci and two firsts on top of Forsberg and won two cups with those guys playing key roles. Easily won that trade. I always hated Lindros for shunning Quebec though so - neem55

I don't see how metrics determine an "unlucky year". |

Not that I know of. Boudrias was a Canuck in the early '70's. He was a sh*t disturber. Wore # 7. |

I can't justify the Beagle signing. I don't have a problem at the other two.
I don't see any forward other than EP ready to step in this year and he will have a spot. I also think some forwards will be moved so I don't see a big problem yet

Also an awesome player, but Lindros was better - LeftCoaster
Their respective body of work begs to differ.
I was 14 in 94, Bure lit my hockey world afire, before that I'd go with Roy as I played net. |

If you paint your hair black, with the look of a dark shoe polish, you might be unlucky, as your sense of self governance, is non existent |

On ice, yes. Off the ice, Lindros was an enviable POS. |
