If someone bragged or is bragging about their personal appearance then they've opened the door, concrete foundation.
Plus I never made fun of dragons appearance, I made fun of his vanity and the fact that he uses a picture of himself flexing as his avatar, but I don't really see Benning trying to market himself as a piece of street meat.

I'm simply agreeing with Makita that it's childish to make fun of someone's appearance unless they are trying to draw attention to it. It's ok to make fun of JB's record as a GM but give me a break if you actually think that his appearance impacts his actual job as a GM.

Hot chick burning burgers or a fat chef grilling gourmet patties, I'd rather eat the gourmet burgers myself, but you and the rest ofthe teenagers can knock your boots out playing the popularity card. : thumbsup:

I'm just trying to get the morning hate on.

You are the last person that should talk about being childish. I don't know how many times I have seen you post "But do you lift bro"

Again kind of hard to accept grief from a poster that constantly ridicules other posters.

End of discussion for me

I'm saying I view Hutton as an isolated incident because at the time the contract wasn't outrageous, nobody expected his work ethic to drop off or for him and Green to have issues.

Stecher has shown consistent work ethic and the ability to play at the NHL level. I see him as a safer bet as opposed to Hutton who still needed to take steps forward to merit his contract.

League average is $3m, Stecher will get $3.5 on a one year deal

That number is fine if it's 1 year imo. Put up or shut up year. Hard to argue that he hasn't been better than MDZ who makes 3mil.

I can't see him getting more of a raise than Hutton did.

If it actually gets to arbitration it will only be a 1 year deal. They could settle on multiple years for a different number prior to an arbitor reaching a conclusion. Feel free to put it in the book minivan.

Most often they settle before, arbitration is a nasty process.

The headline of either article could have been " Wah, Waaaah!" quite easily. Oh no, losing Gagner on Waivers! Not Gaunce! Oh no, will they have to make a trade and maybe get draft picks? bumholes!

All underlying metrics show that Stecher had an unlucky year offensively. I'd expect him to get at least double the points this year if he gets the same ice time.
- NorthNuck

But the eye test said he sucks. Metrics are for people who don't watch hockey.

if he gets Hutton money, it is a issue though. Everyone keeps saying "Its not a big deal, the salary cap is going up". This is such an awful motto (not point at you directly). The salary cap is EVERYTHING. Maybe less to non contending teams, and maybe less to teams who are void a few superstars, but this is a salary cap run league, and cap management to me is so important in the success (near or far) of a franchise. Hutton and Stecher at 2.8 may not seem significant, but when you add LE/Beagle/Hutton/Gudbranson/DelZotto/etc etc etc, it really starts to add up, and you have to ask if you are getting a good return on your investment.

I'll probably catch some flack for this but Darryl Sittler was my favourite player as a kid, even though I wasn't a Leaf fan, Leaf and Canadiens games is all we ever got on tv in the 70's.

I think he scored 40 goals his first year with the Flyers, kinda been a fan ever since, that's the reason I'm a two timer

Again, using a gym picture as your avatar and taking about how you power lift and bang broad invites mocking about how you lift and bang.

I talk about farming and living on an island, mock me for being a pig farming isolationist.

You're a digital black face, cotton head, that's what you get mocked for, that and calling Bennings shots for him.

Etc.... etc.... I have no issues with being mocked for the content that I give, not for how we look IRL.

Except that every professional hockey team has a analytics department. It's one of many things to consider, but stupid to ignore. It would be like going to look at a house and being like "well it passes the eye test" and not looking at any of the paperwork.
