Well I do have a problem with Bennings appearance, sorry. This is a billion dollar organization and your first impression is of a guy wearing shoe polish on his head wearing Sally Ann clothing that sounds like he has grade 6 education.
He may be a super hockey guy but that is not what I an thinking or the rest of the hockey world. I can try to say it doesn't matter but he looks like a Jackass . If it was a disable or an illness that is different but this is an image of choice. - VANTEL
Every hockey market takes the piss out of their GM's. Chia Pet, Burke, Bergevin etc. |

I am not going on a rally to have him or anyone fired but my impression of the management is not very high. |

And I agree with the frustration Marwood, I was referencing the personal comments.
We are all disappointed in the state of the Canucks, and there is nothing wrong with targeting specifics and how they are interpreted by each to their own, I’d rather see Pouliot over Stecher, but that’s me and my interpretation of his hockey skills.
I was pointing out the personal attacks against Linden and Benning. - Makita
Some of it is in good fun, some of it is personal as people are angry with the direction of the team...it is what it is.
I rib JB and TL from time to time but don't really mind them. Linden may be a figurehead but he is a Canuck through and through and loves this franchise and what it represents. People talk about Burrows coming in to the front office...no different. Linden isn't anywhere near as bad as people make him out to be.
IMO a lot of people are gonna owe JB a pretty stern apology when the core of this new young group has been established in 3-5 years. Growing Pains now yes but the signs are there that he is doing a decent job. He may not be around to see the fruits of his own labour...but it will be a decent legacy. |

Del Zotto+Gagner for Hossa+Seabrook+1st.
Trade Tanev for a 1st.
Edler-Gudbranson
Hughes-Seabrook
Hutton/Sautner-Stecher
Of course management isnt creative, but Seabrook would be good for Hughes |

Benning is in his 5 th year . We are projected to finish bottom again. You say 3-5 years away. That means 8-10 years total. That is a long time. This rebuild should have started when Jim got here not 4 years later. I won't be apologizing. This is also directed at the Canucks not just JB |

The frustrating thing, to me, is that I have so much god damn faith in Benning/Brackett/Weisbrod to draft, and I want to build our team through the draft, that it pains me so much to not see draft picks acquired, but instead see them leave, and then see them give up early on some prospects (mainly Forsling and McCann as I am huge fans of both of their games). That is my main gripe with them, and of course, I think they contradict what they say to the media more often than not, but that's just me.
I think this is a really good site to vent, who else are we going to vent to? Leaf Fans? Our Wives? Our friends who don't know what a salary cap is, or who don't know who our AHL affiliate team is? I don't think we ever really need to take jabs at management personally, cause none of it effects me that much to be that angry about it, but I definitely come here, not only to complain, but to have educated hockey conversations with people, who I know, have the ability to maintain such discussions at a good level. |

All good...you do what you gotta do. But the direction of this club when Benning got here was to make the PO's while the Sedins were here. Yes maybe the rebuild should have started sooner but that wasn't the case. His hands were tied by ownership while the Sedins were here that much to me is obvious. Now post-Sedins we will start to see some results but it will take time. It will be interesting around here to see who has the patience and resolve to stick with the process. |

Would you be happy if this franchise were in the situation that Winnipeg is in right now? Because it took them 12 years to get there. |

My final line was my disappointment was with the Canucks not just JB. They are equally and maybe even more deserving of the blame.
I like that they have control of the cap hit now and that they have a few top end prospects, but they have not done a great job getting to this point.
I personally don't give a rats ass about the Sedins and the decisions made around them. I believe decisions should be made for what is best for the name on the front of the jersey not the back of it. |

I'm just saying building a good team takes time. Byfuglien went to Atlanta in 2010 and they've been building their core ever since. |

Cheveldayoff has been in charge since 2011 which is 7 years not 12 . They are also at the top now . After 5 years Benning is still at the bottom |

12 years since the Thrashers were last in contention was my point.
Winnipeg drafted Laine 2 years ago. They finished 3 points ahead of the Canucks that year. If we are bad again and draft near the bottom this year we are right on track to be in good playoff contention in 2 more years. |

I like this guy, good meat and potato's player. I remember wanting to draft Arian Kempe in 2014 because he reminded me of Jenner. |

Well Chris Tanev joined the Canucks in 2010 so I guess we have been rebuilding 8 years not 5
I thought we are talking about report cards on GMs
Cheveldayoff is not responsible for a sh1t job the Thrashers did |

Don’t you know that using filters while posting on the internet is redundant. No point if you don’t use your real name.
The conversation would become a lot more civilized if we had to use our real identities. |
