Starting with Duchene...
He walks & why not? Obvious answer.
Therefore a C is needed let alone 2.
Kadri begins the convo.
At that trading inter-division for stars is rare.
All said EK goes to the highest bidder outside of the Atlantic. I can only see the TBL bucking that guess. So that leaves me to SJ, VGK, Avs & Dallas for destinations who have the cap & prospects & picks to offer. - Nighthawk
I think Duchene re-signs, reports have already been out that they are talking extension.
No man. No. They'll be getting back more than a A prospect and a first rounder. I excluding the 6th purposely because it has no place in a trade for a player of this magnitude. Not to mention all were getting is Hintz for Ryan's albatross contract.

They will get more for Karlsson alone though. So if they push that as a requirement they will need to be very patient, and risk losing him for nothing.
LE/Gagner/Hutton for Anisimov/Hossa
Eat 1/2 of Gagner/Hutton contracts.
UFA’s after this season is Hawks bonus.
Leaves it as 9m (Van) traded for 9.8m.
Hawks then have a full roster & $2.8m cap space. The 23 man roster has too many D who go down to AHL & prospects fill in the F’s &/or a UFA or 2.

Good news for the Sens if true.
If I were Duchene the thought of the Av’s winning Hughes for me is insult to injury after the price already paid for him.

Patience is the key. They have a long time to wait for the right offer to come along.

I guess it's possible. I don't see Vancouver as finishing higher than the Sens unless Karlsson is moved and no one from the trade is on the roster this year. If they play with their current roster they are better than the Canucks.

I’ll take that wager👍
Sad to say we suck but always 1 team is better at it
Canucks are better at the dead mans float.
When we sink we still somehow manage to underachieve. Other teams simply out anchor us. - Nighthawk
Its what happens. You want to finish low to draft elite prospects. These prospects then do well and carry the team out of the bottom 3... and the GM is a retard for it. He's also a retard for leaving holes in the team that should make the tankers happy but the young kids overcome it to some degree anywys. GM is a retard. If the team stayed healthy with those glaring holes... we finish even higher in the standing. It really is a no win situation for any GM that comes here and doesnt turn the team over in 3 years. Not going to happen with the unmovable Sedins on the team and no change of ownership. GM is a retard.
Not even close. You have never had a clue it’s priceless. And Heiskanen is more than a “prospect” for (frank)sakes. Kid will be a stud. - CanuckDon
"will be" but hasn't played an NHL game... pretty sure that's a prospect CanucksDrumpf. I said A prospect, but it's still a prospect. Plus one more prospect for the best dman in hockey (Actually I like Hedman more, but most people think EK is number 1). Bobby Ryan can still put up 40 points or more, his contract isn't as bad as some.
