I can go over how atrocious the Beagle contract is with you, if you've got some time?

In a cap world it's hard to move bad contracts unless you pay to have them moved, not a good option for a rebuilding team.

Have to see how it plays out at camp though!

I think it is every GMs dream to have their prospects steal jobs on their club

I think the Canucks will finish in last place next season. Hopefully, that will get Linden & Benning fired. They can take that pompous asshat Green with them.

A kid like Dhalen reminds me of a 20 year old William Nylander, two good years of development in a pro league, although Nylander did his work in a higher caliber league, so I'm hoping these kids make life miserable for Dim Jim and his sidekick Linden.

Yes, listened to the interview...Amazingly, there was a Beagle frenzy which drove up the price. I hate the signing but he was their guy so they were right to get him. It all makes sense if Sutter is traded. if not?

Thats one horrific avatar bud, you lost a bet right?

I don't mind Rousell, Schaller or Archibald, even Beagle at 3 years I can live with because we can buy him out. I think its the 4th (maybe 3rd) year that's universally hated here, but in the grand scheme of things, its really not a big deal.

Realistically we're not as soft a team and now we hopefully have some protection for Boeser, EP, OJ and Hughes (when he arrives.) I think the majority of us agree that this team was too easy and soft to play against and when teams took liberties against our guys, we only had Gudbranson for 50 games and Archibald for 27 around to push back.

Benning only signed a two year extension. He'll be fired with one year remaining.

With any luck, it could happen mid-season.

Bottom three again next year and he'll be canned, so it's pretty much a guarantee.

I still think he's doing a good job. Prospects galore won some trades, lost some trades. Our 3-4th line are way better this year than last, should help raise the ship and we can let go of Gaunce and other scrubs that will be in the AHL. Can't have a 4th line guy scoring 2 goals all year. Makes ite even easier for teams to check our one line.

I disagree! I like how they are biting the bullet, holding young guys off, letting them develop. They are going to try TO style when they 'released' all the prospects at the same time and hard the 4th line guys to back them up. A couple trades coming hopefully, or waivers to clear some space.

If he trades any of LE (miracle), SG (mini-miracle), MDZ, Hutton, Sutter = everyone will be happy again.

Lots of love for Rathbone coming out, I think everyone should relax on it a bit the guy definitely does not defend well and has a long way to go (may never get there) good skater with offensive instincts is the same guy we drafted, but there's a reason he sliipped to the 4th.

Anyway, I'm happy to hear Gadjovich soundalike he's skiing better at this dev camp I was a bit worried.

Yup, I agree. He set himself up to make some trades this year, I offered this opinion too but there's just too much hate for JB here.

If you don't take into account Kesler had major hip surgery and didn't play a game until after the Christmas break that might fool some people.

Obviously he came back too early as there's talk of him missing this entire season.

Really? All I ever saw was "multi-year" extension, you sure it's two?

'A' prospects:
- Petterson, Hughes, Demko (all 3 key positions)

B+ = OJ, Lind, Dahlen, Gaudette

B = Woo, Brisbois, Gadovich, lockwood

Future core:
BB, BH, insert people from above + next years top 5 pick.

I was good with Rousell, Schaller and Archie. Beagle signing is horrific. Overall, I am fine with the signings as I have trouble supporting such a soft team. We needed some grit so Boeser and Pettersson don't get injured 10 games into the season. Also forces some prospects to Utica which is good. This team will be trash for at least another two years. When we are competitive again, trade or buyout the veteran scraps. No big deal
