Has RW finally gotten to the Tanner point where he can't write an article without being a snarky d-bag know-it-all?

I know I'm not one to talk, but I'm not getting paid, either.

We got great value out of our Hainsey signing. We had no better options. For $3 million we had the player who played the most PK time in the entire NHL...and our PK was reasonable(10th ish I think).

I think most if not all Penguin Fans wish we resigned Hainsey at 3 million last year instead of Hunwich and JJ this year.

I agree, but I don't think that's a ringing endorsement of Hainsey.

RW and the Wilsonites don't like older players even if they can still play. Hainsey was fine and helped us to win a cup but some will say he sucked and didn't do anything for us.

I expect Jack Johnson to be something like Hainsey at first. Hopefully better. I'm fine with the money given ($3.25M) and not so much for the term.

This isn't true. Wilson advocated for resigning Kunitz a few days ago.

Wilsonite detected lol

Jkg buddy but why not advocate for a more complete player in Cullen?

Let's just wait for those guys to get on the ice and play.

Yes and giving him a 3 year deal was terrible but still not as terrible as giving JJ a 5 year deal.

There is no upside to Cullen at this point. The roster spot would be better off given to a Duclair or Jurco type player.

I don't believe Cullen is a more complete player than Kunitz at this point in their careers. Again, I'm a Pens fan so I hope they play well, but if I'm gonna look at history, I don't think they will.

I'd have preferred Kunitz too but it seems like the Pens really value guys having the flexibility to play guys at center or wing.

Johnson's upside here is pretty much first year Trevor Dailey. If that happens the contract won't be a death pill, but I still would of just rather not had it.

Pretty similar players at a basic level. Terrible possession numbers are overlooked because they are good skaters that put up decent points.

Try talking to him on Twitter. His opinions are facts and it you don’t agree with him then you’re just an idiot. Then he runs out of arguments and moves to name calling

Lovejoy was signed as a depth player and isnt even being paid 3 mil its hardly an overpayment. Its not like he was brought in with notions of him being a top 4 guy....

There is a human element to running an organization that our blogger seems to miss the boat on. You cannot treat players...families and such like hockey cards that you discard the moment you are done with them(lose an ounce of value). Any organization that wants to act as our blogger suggests time and time again with players would have everyone lining the streets to leave the city. It's nice to sit here and look at graphs and charts and even watch games and play armchair gm. but I'll tell you right now, you cannot for one second treat players and their families like trash and dispose of them in the way ppl here sometimes discuss.

Not every signing works...not every player that is marginally better wants to play here...there is a ton going on that seem to escape our armchair gm analytic guru bs blogger. A few more positive blogs and some fun conversation about the team would be nice once and a while.

These guys get paid millions to play a game. If they get butthurt because they suck at their jobs they can (frank) off.
