It was a pain to resize. The "member" kept resizing independently of the base image. |

In addition to interest from Vegas, Tampa, San Jose and the Rangers, there's talk in league circles that Dallas has shown interest in Erik Karlsson. #Sens |

Whoever began this insanity that Hank is the one at fault for not getting past L.A., nor past Tampa to return to the Finals the very next postseason, either has a screw loose in their brain, or simply doesn't get it. What's the reason for that one for doing so? It must be due to a combination of his MOST CURRENT LENGTH contract, and the fact that he could not score goals, to make up for his team's failure to do so in both series at its critical game points, especially vs. Tampa at home, and in those OT losses alone against the Kings. Past Rangers goalies failed worse, including Mike Richter at times. Remember that Ron Francis goal he allowed??? Yes, he however did win their only Cup in the previous 79 years.
Enough with the past, or why not at least have that initial Hank Beater here acknowledge it still required 7 games to get past Vancouver, despite Richter becoming better well known elsewhere due to a key penalty shot save on Bure. But Richter also had clutch support from a Matteau, Zubov, Leetch, and Messier, to name a key few, as opposed to who Hank was relying on to come through in BIG situations. Should Hank retire without winning a Cup, he will still go down as the #1 best and longest tenured goalie in Rangers history, if not as well possibly the best longest tenured overall Ranger. |

Can we now put an OFFICIAL end to the ridiculous thought in during a REBUILD of having to trade a big part of that away to acquire Karlsson, and also have to assume most to all of Bobby Ryan's $7.25M contract to do so? For those who hate Hank's contract, you would now want for the remainder of it starting next season, to have this team tie up about $25M to $28M of cap space in just those 3 players?
Furthermore, there are some potential top free agents that they can wait until next summer to sign, if they are not dealt prior. Among those include in part, Pavelski, Duchene, Panarin, Seguin, and someone named Erik Karlsson, without having to trade a single piece of their future for like they would right now, in addition to having to take over Ryan's contract. |

I am still very surprised that the very first order of business taken care of this summer by this team was Namestiknov's new contract
I really thought that would have been the last thing if they didn't deal him - jimbro83
At the rate they are proceeding this off season, it might just have been the next to last thing they did, and will have done during this entire off season. That's unless they are scouting some summer men's league players. |

I happily standup and take credit for the initial post regarding Lundqvist.

Rangers are losing 2-1 in game 6 vs the Devils going into 3rd period
if Messier doesn't score 3 goals, the Rangers are out even if Richter made 100 saves in the 3rd period - jimbro83
It was really "Old School" of all those here, who actually started the Hank beating at sometime in the past two days? I was thinking it might have been a Devils' fan troll, with the exception for tom who I saw stuck up for Hank. I also saw that tom blamed for one, his ex Rangers "favorite", with the initials of R.N., who appears that he will need the services of some RN's, unless he does what's best for his health in calling it a career. |
