Pretty confident considering neither has played a game in this league, hope the organization isn't as optimistic as you are and think it has solved the problem at C, need to add at least 1 more

I want them to trade Patch to Nashville. I think that would be just fabulous.

I'd do it. Maybe a pick back as well.

Man, how much do you think Bergevin regrets that trade?

And hey, not trying to hate, we just signed friggin Jack Johnson to a five year deal. Just curious what you think lol

The Subban trade was ok, at best... I understood what he was trying to do, he didn't get enough value but losing a few years in the swap was acceptable only because he had Sergachev in the fold, that trade is what set it all back!

I liked it then and I still like it. But Weber has to stay healthy.

he blocked a shot and got injured, it's not like he has a recurring injury.

That's very true.

He has to stay healthy regardless.

Awful trade no doubt. The reasoning behind it appears to be locker room issues with Subban. They still could have probably gotten return, but that's been beaten to death.

There would need to be more coming back. We'd be basically giving Pacioretty away for free. Fabbro??? Pettersson???

The move will certainly happen soon enough. I'm basically prepared to be underwhelmed though.

I'd say Kotkaniemi and Poehling are more like 2-3
- obie

Maybe on some teams, but if they pan out they will be a 1-2 in a weak montreal lineup

If we're going for first round picks, Arizona would be my choice, a perennial lotto team.

Pacioretty for 1st round pick and Dylan Strome.

Nope...

Part of a bigger deal. I think Strome could be that #1 center they've been looking for.

and Pacs leaves a year later as a UFA? Makes no sense unless Pacs agrees to sign long term with the new team before the trade

Maybe... I don't think Arizona would deal a lottery pick!

There's 2 different scenarios in a Pacioretty trade, one year or with an extension... Sign and trade are rather rare so I wouldn't count on that taking place! But a C prospect and a 1 would be great wherever he goes
