So who do people think will win Stanley?
Who will be bottom 3?
How long before there's Matthews rumours he wants out? |

Don’t you know that a gm and coach have nothing to do with team success? Clearly poop bloggers are way more intelligent - jchst22
I'm surprised this blogger is still getting so much crap. Same guy for a few years that posts everyday...a lot of us started going straight to the messages a long time ago. |

The Pens of course. TB's defense isn't great. Washington will still be drinking. Philly has no D. Toronto would be interesting but not experienced that deep in the playoffs (unlike Vegas playing in a weaker West, it'll matter).
Bottom three: Ottawa, Carolina, and New York. (Technically that last pick covers two)
Matthews is the face of that franchise and I doubt he starts off the first line. He'll have his number in the rafters in the end. |

If Karlsson stays I may predicting the Sens to be a bubble team. I'll say bottom 3 will be Detroit, Islanders, & buffalo. Special mention to Yotes, Hawks & the Oil.
Pens will definately be up there barring injuries. Tampa will get a coaching change - AV.
I'm seeing big trouble in little Toronto this next season. Running off the bad blood from last season between Babs & Matthews. Going to be interesting especially seeing as though they won't be able to get their Dman unless they trade a good young player - nylander??

The Pens turned Shultz, Oleciak, Cole into good to capable Dmen.....There is no reason JJ can't be rehabbed. - sammy87
I never thought I would hear Sammy be the voice of reason |

The Leafs are going to be awesome next year. If they could somehow acquire another top 4 Dman, look out. |

You like JVR coming back? What's your thoughts on the contract? - 668710
I'd prefer it to be maybe $1M cheaper, but the guy produces. Given our lack of proven LW depth, I'm good with it. |

FWIW, I'd put our D against yours all day any day. Out goaltending is the issue. |

I just went on capfriendly, do you really only have 5dmen signed? Who would come up? Or are you guys signing someone? |

Rutherford did mention he's not closed the door on a trade. Said teams that didn't get what they wanted in FA will now look to the trade market over the next 2-4 weeks. I don't think he's done either.
We're still sitting on two assets that several teams need. A young goalie with starting potential and a good 2nd line center.
I don't want to part with either, but bringing back Cullen is kind of a strange move. If someone wants to overpay, I'd consider moving Brass. - madmike71
I'd explore most options as long as the Pens aren't left with more weaknesses after the move. |

28-15 in this last playoff...in 6 games. You guys could have had Hasek and it wouldn't have mattered. |

It wouldn't surprise me if they signed Orpik as a 6 or 7. |

Torts is such a whiny little female dog. There's some funny quotes from him on the Jack Johnson signing today at the Athletic. |
