Cullen is probably going to be the role Joris played last year. Emergency center for fourth line but most nights in press box. Could be a 4th line LW option since Kuhnhackel is gone. Be the PK specialist. |

$650 for a guy who will turn 42 in November.
He`s not gonna play 82 games and will make that locker room better. I like the move. Essentially another coach who can help the younger guys and can spot-play. - CB
I agree. Bringing back some of that leadership that was lost from last season certainly can't hurt. |

He has declined a fair bit since last putting on a Pens jersey BUT I think I'd rather have him for 4th LW (and faceoffs and PK) over Kuhnackle just being there on LW...especially for only league minimum cap hit. |

So 1 yr 1 mil for Kunitz? We couldn’t match that? |

Yeah. I don't get that one. |

Brassard looks like he has amazing value right now.
NYI desperately need a 2nd centre.
Peg made moves to re-sign Stastny but he went to Vegas.
Montreal is dying for a centre.
I’d be looking to move him. |

How much veteran leadership do you need? Crosby, Malkin, Letang have all been in the league 10+ yrs each.....I just dont buy that argument at this point.
Maybe to help with Blueger? |

I think they knew Pens could only have one or Kunitz or Cullen and Cullen can do more than Kunitz. Plus, Sid would want him on his line. |

If a center gets injured or 2 at the same time(let's hope not)I'd rather Cullen be the extra guy first. |

I get that, Sheehan is a capable 3C on a lot of teams, having Cullen and Blunger almost makes Brassard expendable. I didnt see enough of Brassard to form an opinion. |

Neither of those deals happening
Skinner>Brassard

I take back everyone I said about the Cullen signing. I think the roster is now pretty much set. I'm on board with the thought it was a leadership move. My guess is unless some crazy deal presents itself, this is the 2018/2019 Pens roster. |

He's a damn good hockey player. Got traded to us at the end of the season, learn a new system, then got hurt. Why trade him?
I sign Oleksiak and put away the phone. |

The Oleksiak should be a simple signing. I'm still not sure why it hasn't gone down yet. |

Brass-Geno-Kessel
Hagelin/Rust-Sheahan-Sprong
Hagelin/Rust-Cullen-ZAR - Rinosaur
Sheahan and kessel played well together before brassard arrived...
I'd go with the backbone of...
TBD - sid- guentzel
TBD - Geno - Sprong
TBD - Sheahan - Kessel
TBD - Cullen/Bleuger - TBD
The TBD will be Brassard, Horny, Hags, Simon, ZAR, and Rust.... based on chemistry
