My only wish is that a team desperate for cap space makes Jim an offer over the next couple of months. I'm not big on team changing signings tomorrow since none of them would really involve prospects. Not caring about small depth moves. Can't barely dig down and find much desire to discuss it... I cared about that when teams were trying to go far in the playoffs. If we have to wait til preseason for a desperate team to dump salary and open roster spots, all the better. Whether its a short term bad contract or a move that pains a GM to have to make for a quality player... either way. As long as the need is filled and/or it comes with upside for the future as in picks and prospects.

plus when the canucks were contenders, it seemed like 20 teams were all trying to win, the tdl buyer to seller ratio was stupid. Zenon Konopka, Tim Gleason and Paul Gaustad were big fish at the tdl's
