I thought we went yesterday from Rieder playing with EP to Gagner playing with EP with no hesitation or complaint.

Let's hope that JT wants the leafs to get him Gagner to play on his wing.

Remember that year that Beagle got more minutes than Ovechkin in the playoffs? Yeah, the Caps totally lost that series.

He's a decent NHL centre, good on the draws, good at killing penalties. He's like having Malhotra. It's more than likely he sucks in 4 years, but we weren't getting players to come otherwise. And the guy just played a big role in winning the Cup. Not crazy about the deal, but he's infinitely better than Gaunce.

The flip side of the coin is if you don't hate the contracts why complain about them.

Benning is getting the brunt of this and it was the coach that requested these players and they got signed off by the owner and president also .

Bozak is another Gagner. I'd say none of the above(including Beagle).


Just move Gagner to C, start Gaudette off slow or in the AHL and maybe give him a chance in that spot after the TDL if he's having a good start to the season.


Would have been fine with just Schaller and Roussel. Rieder or Grabner if they wanted a 3rd body
