I imagine that's one of those 'good problems'. They won the Matthews lottery and now have Tavares. That's a crazy exciting time for Leafs fans. It's their time to really compete for the Cup.

I have no problem with Roussel either.

Beagle. Centers are more expensive. A 2-3 year term would have been better.

I'm guessing Beagle brings more than just his play on the ice. Both signings are ridiculous in my opinion term-wise. This team is not a desirable place to play, deal with it. Maybe 12 months from now things are different. Yes, we might be tougher to play against but we're still a bottom 5 team. Sign Brodziak and wait a few days and see what's out there.

Roussels cap hit, role, age, are way more appropriate than beagles. Maybe a year or 2 more than i had hoped but tack on a year in exchange for going to a bottom 5 team.

Beagles contract is ugly imo. If we went roussel and schaller and called it a day, no one could complain TOO much over Bennings day
