The thing is, and I’m not defending Benning here, but players don’t want to be traded. The ones who sign the 1 year, 1m deals and get traded are the ones desperate for a job. The guy who was relied on to defend the lead in the cup final has plenty of options, and so if you really want him you have to agree to his terms.

Personally, I don’t think having Beags in the lineup will make any difference for this team, now or in the future.

exactly, or if they landed guys like JVR or Bozak they'd be complaining about overpaying for better players, if we signed poopty guys they'd complain those guys suck. IMO the 4th year of Beagle is the only poopty part of either of these contracts. BUt even that is easy to buyout or possibly trade.

Dorsett on LTIR takes care of one year of Roussels contract

Beagle is a very tradable contract . Sutter to the Ducks and save 1 mil per.

You need to see past the end of the nose,

1.5 mil wont get you either of those players. TEN teams were bidding on each of those players. Maybe they are not as horrible as you guys are making out that they are.
