Even with Kotkaniemi and Poehling they are still weak at C, neither are a sure shot by any means need to build true depth at the position... And they need a guy like Roslovic far more than another 10-15 goal winger like Armia
I agree about the D, they need to add a couple top end young D, there's a nice secondary core already in place, just lack the high end skill - obie
Don't forget Oloffson, after watching him yesterday he might be the steal of the draft. |

I think Saku will be coming back to the Habs organization in some form... not sure what the Finn focus in MTL right now, but if you are gonna do that, might as well insulate them as best possible.
Maybe Saku works with them overseas. |

He dropped and seems like a good pick for them for sure but are any of these guys top line C? It's a little premature to think they've solved the problem at C, they've added a lot of depth and potentially a very good 2nd line C but Kotkaniemi is not a slam dunk to become a true top C |

Well, I will give credit for MB in starting to try to move forward, seems like a shift in (pardon the pun) attitude towards building s true prospects pool.
Now he could do something absolutely retarded still, but let's see where this goes over the next 12-18 months. |

It does seem like he's taken somewhat of a turn, the Pacioretty handling will tell all I imagine! |

Well...UFA pool sucks this summer, so he's gaining assets. Don't tell me you are mad about the trade? |

Thanks for your input. If you have followed me for a while you would know I've said at every turn I'm simply a fan sharing my thoughts. I try to provide an opinion on topics and HockeyBuzz gave me that opportunity.
If you feel my writing is embarrassing I recommend you find a different site then, I would hate to disappoint you any more.
Have a good one fella! - Brandon Smillie
I bet you've thought of so many ways to humiliate him. You should've called him a pathetic manchild and told him he's gonna learn to respect you wether he likes it or not.

It is a no lose trade... only costs money.
If Armia shows something, great. Mason or Niemi gets flipped for some picks.
Habs are not in the game next year, might as well pick up some decent assets and see what they can do. Good move, rather than blowing cap pace on 6-7 year contracts by signing mediocre players.... which could still happen tomorrow *sigh* - Mashadar
I wanna see what Armia can do too...plays on the right. 6 foot 3 and good skater who knows. |

Nobody want Mason... He rather spend $ on buy out than offering $ to actual players like Markov & Radulov? |

I think MB is a tool and a poopty GM, but this was the kind of trade he should be making when he has cap space to blow. Who cares wtf he does with Mason. If he gets back any additional assets, good. If he plays in Laval and is insurance, good. If he buys him out, fine too. |

I think you're getting things mixed up, no one said they filled the 1C spot. They've made big moves to improve their depth at that position there's nothing more to it. |

I wouldn't of bothered giving him the time of day to even reply, good on you for putting in the effort... I rarely agree with your proposals when it comes to the roster but that's a matter of options and says nothing about your knowledge of the team you report on or your writing abilities, I enjoy the blogs, even if I often disagree |

With the Habs being about 4 legit players away from being an actual contender, is now not the time to blow this poop up? Weber is getting old, Pacioretty is going to need a contract soon, Prices best days are behind him, no top line center, and a laughable defense. I just don't see the point of being mediocre year after year after year. Sell off the any decent player over 25, be horrible for 5 years and try again. |

Let's say they are actually 4 legit players away. Who are those players and how are they going to get them?
Not going to happen - they don't have the assets to trade for a #1 and #2 center, and two top 4 D.
So blow this poop up.
I think you keep Price, but I believe Weber needs to be traded ASAP. |

That's my point, you have no assets to acquire these players, so you may aswell throw in the towel on this current group. I'd lean towards dealing price. All he is going to do is make you slightly better and miss out on the top pick. |
