Just a warm body... They need 4 pieces, they have 2 drafts and 4 assets they can move to get those... if they do it right, they'll be on the upswing by 2020
- obie

yiish, you're quite optimistic.
4 pieces will more than likely require 4 drafts, not 2. other teams won't trade lottery picks away.
so that would be 2022, best case, if all prosepcts pan out which is not a sure thing.

Or someone might surprise you but even if you manage to get 3, that's when you're at the point you start looking at trade/FA if you have to

A top C, top 4 LD and RD and a high scoring RW

Tage Thompson is a 6'5 200+ pounds first rounder, yet you value a 2nd rounder more than him?

To be fair, I can understand your reluctance for such a player with how Big Mac developed but, Thompson's far from a throw-in...

The equivalent for the Habs would be Scherbak or Poehling.

David Sklenicka, who played in the Czech league last season. He was also with Team Czech Republic at the last World Championship this spring

Most likely will play in Laval this season

What would it cost to get Dumba from Minny, seems unlikely they can lock up both he and Zucker with under 10 million in cap space... They could move someone out I'm sure but I've seen his name mentioned a few times now and not just here...

That's the hope. Then you have Poehling with whomever. Just going to have to be patient.
