I bet none get moved because MB thinks as long as you have Carey Price, you have a shot at the cup.

He hasn't spent any money today, which kind of points in the other direction and apparently he's pulled out of any discussion he was having for O'Reilly

Bergevin looks done for the day. Good. No point in overpaying for what is left out there.

Yes, but now that teams have signed their free agents, the trade partners for patches is less. He should of been dealt last week.

Pacioretty should be moved soon
Weber could be but I think they'll wait
Price is next to impossible

You can keep Weber around to help the kids and to ice an NHL team next season. No need to rush things with him in my opinion unless you get a great offer.

His value is probably better now that all the FA have found new homes, how many teams got left out in the cold on the Tavares/Stastny/JVR talks?

I dunno.. teams like the Sharks have lots of money they cleared and I expect them to go out big game hunting. Isles and Sharks likely looking at RoR.

unless there is a boatload of 30g scorers i missed besides Tavares and JVR, Patches is still someone a bunch of team who believes they are close to a cup run will be interested in. Was there a boatload i missed?

That's the thing, wait any longer and you won't get nothing for him... Philadelphia is trying to land a D, they've made that very clear

So the Flyers will finally get Weber and the contract they gave him?

The Isles have to be in full rebuild now after losing Taveres. Time will tell, but I won't be shocked if its status quo for the Habs and they finish 4th or 5th in the division and get a mediocre draft pick.

Wouldn't that be something?

They're obviously looking for a RD and don't wanna give up Sanheim, Habs have 2 guys they might want and they'll even let them keep Sanheim

Or, mtl could keep Weber and say to Nashville that they have to make a trade for him (at the end of his contract) if they don't want to be in cap hell.

Apparently they still were after... No shortage of interest for Pacioretty I would think, Bergevin is just waiting for all the other options to sign elsewhere

Not sure what you expect.

People wanted the Habs to take a more development approach and hire the right people to properly develop prospects. They did. People were saying the Habs should take on a bad contracts for extra picks / depth. They did. People did not want Habs to go nuts in free agency with bad contracts. They didn't (so far, at least).

They aren't going to turn this poophole around in 1 year, so not sure what people are expecting. MB is a mediocre GM (at best), but at least he is not throwing everything away in the hopes of just making the playoffs this year.

Maybe they see the light even more and Patches and Weber are gone before October. I don't see them trading Price, and that is not because of the contract.

I hope so. Have should be taking advantage of their cap space and money they ave. Trade for Bobby Ryan and Marion Gaboric in Ottawa and get some assets and picks.
