I will say his two signings are Beagle Rieder - VANTEL
I like Rieder, not sure what happened to him this year, but his numbers were good the previous couple of seasons. Could be a good buy low.
I like Beagle too, but only if it's for 2 years. I'm guessing he gets 3 and that's a deal breaker for me since he's going to be 33 years old. With his style of play, he's going to be almost useless when he loses a step.
I really don't want Riley Nash but i think Benning wants him as his stopgap C on a secondary scoring line.

I don't mind Beagle or Nash at 3 years . Don't forget you can send them to Utica for third year or trade and keep salary. They are only here short term to let our prospects mature.

I really don't think Nash is that good, just my opinion of course. Beagle can play a role though.
The expansion fee was not included in Hockey-Related Revenue, so that's not a factor. But Vegas's success definitely was. I wrote about this for Forbes last month:
TSN HOCKEY
Sounds like #Hawks renewed efforts to move Marian Hossa’s contract in last few days. Hossa, 39, has three years remaining at $5.25 million in one of those back-diving deals and league proved his medical condition worthy of LTIR exception this season.

LTIR and only owed $3 million dollars.
